Cool.

I could just see someone holding up thier cell phone during the middle of the show and have Bono yell "we haven't gotten to One yet!"
:lmao: i wasn't a source to the vertigo show i went to, so i don't know how people hold their phones. i do know you better make sure it's fully charged, as we had some people's phones cut off mid-song, then trying to call them back, it went straight to voicemail

i wonder how good anything would sound through my phone :hmm: i can't remember how blackberries sounded.

Hey Ax, are you planning any trips to the States for shows?

No way I could afford it this time around. Plus, if I were to travel, I'd very seriously think about Europe instead, especially if the US were stadiums. There are four places I'd like to see U2: New Zealand, Boston, Dublin, the Netherlands. I've only done the first two (and I'd love to see them in Wellington rather than Auckland too).

I think some people just clipped them on to their belt or something while others actually held it, but I'm not entirely sure. Part of it depended on where you were in the venue too. If I remember correctly, didn't those people with seats tend to produce better feeds?

And I think ramblin rose's Blackberry had the best quality of any feed.

Haha, oh, that's right, I forgot they were a bunch of fundies. That's just completely bizarre to me. But it makes the fact their name sounds like a bad brothel or porn movie all the more amusing. I know it's meant to be pronounced "chick-fill-ay", but I read it as "chick filler" and think of "XXX GIRLS WAITING FOR BIG COCKS TO FILL THEIR HOLE".

Ahh, right. Maybe I'll just have to take a risk and get U-Wen to take me to some good Chinese restaurant ...
 i wouldn't call them fundies. but i don't know. and lol, my mom saw one for the first time in the 70s when she went on vacation to florida with her sister. they weren't up in maryland at the time, so they thought it was chick-fill-uh.

mmm...chinese

Damn I want this album to come out :grumpy:

I actually imagined a semi-decent musical accompaniment for NLOTH using PFan's original lyrics, and now I'm pining.

well, I could see a show of my preference, it would be at the most remote city available......in U2-3D, it was mentioned that these places have the most appreciative fans and the performances are even better.

So a place like Argentina would be good.

I only see that particular restaurant while I'm in Texas, can't say I'm too fond of it, and I can't avoid calling it chick-fill-uh in my head. Takes all of my restraint not to call it that out loud

You know, I don't get the deal with that, it's not just U2,

Springsteen's last few shows have been completely amazing, and he's been in places like The Netherlands ...

Hi Jen!

yeah. i'd put it in my sig too so people would know where to find the website too.

ooh, i see. plus, if it's arenas, maybe they'd come here again :hmm: but i won't get my hopes up for that. and i hear you about travelling. i'm dying to go to vegas so there's that excuse, and a friend of mine in boston wants me to visit, so there's the other excuse.

Awesome. Once the tour forum's reopened and things get under way, we'll get some proper planning into gear.

I'm genuinely surprised that they keep skipping Tennessee all the time. You'd think they'd do at least one of Memphis or Nashville. It will be interesting to see just how much they tour in the US this time around, given the declining US economy and the increased profitability of other global markets, including a good number they've never played.

Vegas show
i know! i can't wait! i really hope the rumours for an opening show in vegas are confirmed.

i think so. and i'd always do seats. i don't want to fuss with ga. i do for people i like like tim finn, but he doesn't play madison square gardens.

:fuckyeah: i'll have to keep my blackberry till the end of the us legs then.

I will always be a little sad that I couldn't a ticket for the Omaha show. They had never played around here before and it ended up being one of the best shows of the tour. Awesome setlist too.

The fact they even make it matter with regards to their business practices marks them as fundies to anybody from down here in Heathenstralia! Sure, believe whatever you like; what the fuck does that have to do with fast food chicken?

If I had the cash on me, I'd travel to Dublin to see U2 in a heartbeat. God knows I have the time. That's something not to be missed.

:fuckyeah:

yeah, it is surprising. i can't believe how seldom they play the state, and there's three big cities here! and memphis is the biggest, so they should come here. which makes it seem really silly that it's bigger than nashville, considering how many people i have to travel to nashville to see who don't come here!

soooo...i guess you wouldn't like in-n-out then either? :giggle:

Being a text message source will challenge your n00b texting skillz

One thing I think we really need to do is discourage texts in favour of audio. After all, texting actually costs more to do than the audio! It should just be a back-up if the audio quality is totally unlistenable.

how about melbourne :shifty:
thats pretty remote from you

and i always appreciate a good performance :sexywink:

I think it has to do with the fact these places don't get many cool acts. Like here in Omaha we never got that many interesting artists. Then when we started getting bigger acts everyone was so thankful for the people that came. When Roger Waters came he was so blown away. He even got a little teary for the love Omaha gave him. :cute:

yeah, like only allow texts as a back-up or addition to the audio feed. it could help with identifying snippets, too, and then we'd get to hear the songs too.

I did call it Chick Filler out loud.

See, I'd only do GA. Fuck seats. The GA experience for U2 is a bit of a pain, you're right there, but I'd rather do that than have seats, especially in a huge fucking nasty stadium.
