Any Colour You Like is actually the second reprise of Breathe. I love that synthesizer solo in that song.

Heh, one rule for me is that I never use the first name of anybody I know. It just feels weird.

Is it necessary to have a fiddle solo in the middle of a black metal song? No, but it's something that either the artist likes using or the people like hearing.

I think the sax is a soulful instrument that carries a different vibe to the basic rock instruments and can, like any other instrument, kick ass or fail.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond

And if you don't think the sax works in that song, then you're crazy.

I don't usually have a particular method to my name creation.

For my own aliases, I always use Irish names since I'm notably Irish in appearance. Something like David McGuinness or Brendan Quinn.

But I love them all.
I think Night is one of my favorites from the album. It is quite beautiful and lush. I think Tenth Avenue is my least favorite.

I tend to agree with this. I like Us & Them but it's overrated, and I do prefer Any Colour You Like.

Either that or names I love hearing.

Desmond, Tyrone, Dwight, and Clyde, to name a few.

I agree about. It's great. I like it's title, too. Just say it to yourself:.

Wait, what?

Springsteen, Jon Landau, and Mike Appel.

Appel was Springsteen's manager through the first three albums, but once Springsteen met Landau, during the Born to Run sessions, he preferred him to Appel. After the album, Appel and Springsteen got into a long court battle, and, as part of the contract he was trying to leave, he couldn't get into the studio till it was over: hence why Darkness wasn't until 1978. Born to Run had a lengthy tour for the same reason.
The actual Born To Run tour ran its normal course. However, when the next album was delayed because of the lawsuit, you're correct, they went back out on the road. The 1977 tour in particular is quite infamous, as it is one of the best tours he's done, dubbed the "Chicken Scratch" tour. The four night stand in Boston are considered some of the best shows ever.

I really want to hear a fiddle solo in a black metal song now.

By 'unnecessary', I don't mean to say its addition is wanky or anything like that. I mean that if you took it out, the song would be just as good, so why waste the time putting in something that does precisely nothing to enhance the song, and has the potential to become distracting.

The song would be just as good without it. I don't see a need for it to be there.

Guitar is going to trump sax any time anyway.
