I never said Brodeur was the best

ugh, it's like when an actor gets nominated for an oscar 4 or 5 times and they finally give it to 'em, when maybe it wasnt their best film ever, but they've always been good, and the other's didnt have a great year, so why not reward the old boy (think denzel washington)

I totally agree... I don't think we were really arguing about anything. For my reply... insert cujo for Brodeur...

Did you like how I changed cujo to Belfour, sneaky bastard I am!

My Vezina Candidates:

Marty Turco, Ed Belfour, Martin Brodeur...

My pick: Marty Turco (sorry Wanderer)

He was definitely the best player at his position, posting a record smashing 1.72 GAA... even though Brodeur had 40 wins again, his performance is eclipsed by Turco's consistency and value with Dallas. With his season-ending shutout, Turco not only solidified his record, but he ensured the Conference title for his team. Belfour was thrown in for consolation, because of his mid-season excellence.

Notable Omissions: Jean-Sebastian Giguere, Nikolai Khabibulin, Roman Ceckmanek.
