Just spent my lunch break at Borders in downtown DC watching Rhett Miller. He had an in-store performance for his debut album, "The Instigator". I haven't fully discovered his music, but it was pretty good. He was really funny and cute.

For some reason, he sounds Brit on his cd.

Not such a fan of his solo debut, but I like the Old 97's quite a bit.

Lucky that you saw him :)

This is what I get for not paying attention anymore!!! :banghead:

Not that I could've taken a lunch break and gone there anyway. Ah well. :sigh:

If it's any consolation, I was only there for 20-30 mins. and wasn't able to let him sign the cd. Had to go back to work. I'm trying to figure out how I found out about his appearance at Borders.

cool. i've heard VERY little of his stuff...ok, one solo song...and two old 97's songs...

but the old 97's song "murder or a heart attack" is great! makes me miss my mix tapes...i know what tape it's on too, right next to something by this band called angry salad...anyone ever heard of them?
