...and they were just amazing. If you get any chance at all, go see them if you're in the right place at the right time. I saw them at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, lovely little venue, actually where U2 played the first time they played Vancouver. I was a couple of meters away from the stage. Incredible. Wish I'd been that close for U2, but as I wasn't I probably enjoyed this show even more than U2. Their energy is unreal. Apparently they're all at least 46, and Peter Garrett is almost 50. He has amazing presence. He's enormously tall, has a gigantic bald head, enormous hands, and he's not just physically impressive but he dances like a maniac, constantly gestures with his hands to illustrate what he's singing about etc. At this point, I think I only have half of their albums or less (though I recognized about 19 or 20 of the 22 or 23 songs they did) but now I want to get every last one. I am completely sold.
