Salome, look here..........

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I probably should move this into the sports forum so that anyone interested in real sports can also check it out

:love:Steve:love:

well I'm in chat show heaven.....I love Parkie, Michael Parkinson.
He was interviewed at length by Andrew Denton on Monday night. My that man has interviewed some great people.
One of my favourite interviews of all time is Parkinson with Sting and Billy Connolly...**rotfl**
and the good news is Parkinson is interviewing Billy again, this Saturday night:applaud:
I also like the live musical performances on Parkinson.

I was thinking of you yesterday Salome. Does Angela have anyone in the know who works at St George Bank? At the moment their walls are festooned with posters of Steve Waugh indulging in various leisure activities. My fave is the upside down one of him lying on a surfboard ( i'm taking a real liking to man fur in my old age:eyebrow:...tmi, sorry) I was most distracted by it yesterday.
I can just imagine the SW posters in your room along with your U2 posters and pictures of me:D I've got a picture of Don Bradman on my wall....and Gandalf and Billy Bragg...woops tmi...again

PS: Parkinson is a HUGE cricket fan. he comes to Australia to watch the tests. He said in interview last night his dad never thought Michael was particularly famous or successful because he never played cricket for Yorkshire.

Aurora , do you remember "the Money or the Gun" when Denton would pursue people on foot to vox pop them? One of the funniest things I saw, was him asking about favourite sex positions on the run.

woops..this is more about TV than sport
does Steve Waugh's "man fur" count?:hmm:

PS: I learned the term "man fur" from PLEBA

maybe I should pose that question in ABEL's Q & A topic

does steve waugh's man fur count?

I'd reckon about...:hmm:......6487

I hope you like the interview Salome......

and I do remember that show Cass, I have been watching Denton for years and I love Parkinson too, I really, really enjoyed that interview and how absolutely drop dead gorgeous was Raquel Welch in that 70s clip, I personally think Parky was a brave man doing that interview, most men wouldn't of known where to look, if you get my drift:wink: and I cant wait to see the show with the Meg Ryan interview!!!!!!!

But speaking of vox pops, I used to watch 'Front up' heaps on sbs, but I dont know if it is still on, my lifestyle these days dosnt let me watch much TV, with work and study and the time I waste on the internet but the best vox pop ever was Mick Molloy and Tony Martin on the Late Show, it was comical stuff, but gee they used to get funny stuff on that..........

I just remembered Live and Sweaty- gee the abc and sbs have the best shows:)

woops kinda hi-jacking the Steve Waugh appreciation here
but
I love Andrew Urban...Front Up was favourite show during it's first season. He now has a show called "nest" that is interesting. I don't see all the episodes but enjoy immensely the ones I do.

Did you here the clay animation artist who won the Oscar recently refer to SBS on Denton the other night? It's kinda relevant...SBS is also a Dutch porn channel, so he said:eyebrow:

I  the ABC, radio and TV

Hey Cass, (sorry people for hi-jacking the sports forum)

I loved it when I heard him give a plug for SBS at the Oscars, pity though that there is a porn channel out there with the same name, anyway for those in the know it was a great moment.....

and I love ABC anything, ABC radio is my staple in life, JJJ from 6-9am for Adam and Will and now that they have got rid of the Morning Show (damn you Richard Kingsmill!!!) I switch over to Coast FM until 3pm (you might be able to get the 'Tweed Coast' version of this) and then its back to the Js for the night and then if I am up late enough, I love listening to Tony Dellroy and 'the challenge'- I sound like a real geek, but I just love the ABC, in fact I better go right now, as the Kumars @ #42 are on:wink:

well, the programs are horrible enough to maek even a priest exclaim "fuck" a couple of times
but Iwouldn't call it porn

I've always wanted to say "porn" in a Steve Waugh thread

back to TV:D
Aurora, did you watch the meg ryan interview last night?
I thought Parkie was quite hostile to her and I was disappointed in him. He seemed to be holding her personally responsible for the behaviour of a character she played. Crikes Parkie it was a movie!...a Jane Campion movie, with something to say. Try listening.( I haven't seen the movie in question...yet)
I thought Meg made intelligent answers to quite hostile questions. I don't think Parkie was expecting a woman with intelligence and the ability to express herself. Lately, I think he prefers naff humour and women who submit and flirt with him.
I suppose we all have bad nights...that was one of his.

PS: Salome, that priest wouldn't be Father Jack Hackett by any chance?

PSS: I try to listen to Tony Delroy, but I usually fall asleep. I enjoy radio quizzes...a lot.And JJJ, I wish I had taped the program about The Waifs yesterday. I'm so proud of what they have achieved...and JOHN BUTLER!!!!! YAY!!!! that's my boy:heart:

:hug:aunty ABC:hug:
