Sad day - One of Edge's influences dead

Well, the great John McGeogh I just found out yesterday died about 3 years ago. I saw him play tons of times, have loved his work form the early Magazine/Banshee days, and "Waiting for the Floods" is one of my most played albums ever.

I have an old interview somewhere wher Edge cites McGeogh as one of his influences

"John: "I like what people such as Robert Smith and The Edge are doing. They are trying to do different things with the instrument. Too many kids are content to knock out old blues numbers.""

i don't get it.

it's a sad day because someone died three years ago

and you only found out now?

sad day for me....because I just found out, so it's like it happened today as far as I'm concerned.
