Word on the street is a new Joyride is about to start. The Roxette forums are abuzz as Marie and Per look set to reform and start work on their next album - 5 years after the release of 'Room Service'. So I thought it may be a good time to have a chinwag about the poppy Swedish duo!

For me, Roxette hit their creative peak with 'Crash! Boom! Bang!' and then again hit paydirt with 'Have A Nice Day'. The songs from this period - 'Vulnerable', 'Run To You', 'Wish I Could Fly', 'Stars', and 'Salvation' are fine mature pop treats - much deeper than the likes of 'Fading Like A Flower', 'It Must Have Been Love' and 'Dressed For Success' - which while fun have dated awfully.

So my Top Ten Rox moemnts -

1. Wish I Could Fly
2. Queen Of Rain
3. Almost Unreal
4. Listen To Your Heart
5. Centre Of The Heart
6. Salvation
7. I Love The Sound Of Crashing Guitars
8. Fireworks
9. Run To You
10. Joyride

Um, Marie had a bout of cancer and then had a brain tumout. Per reformed his old Swedish band Gyllene Tyler (?) and toured Scandinavia selling out stadiums. I also believe a good deal of this decade has been spent rolling around in a large pile of money.
