One of the greatest things about this film for me is that I had a teacher who was exactly like Mrs. Robinson, though unfortunately not as attractive. They had the same exact personality though. It's hilarious.

Well my favorite movie, like I mentioned earlier is American Beauty. Don't know if you've ever seen it, but it's a fairly dark comedy staring Kevin Spacey and Anette Bening. I recommend that movie quite often. The results of such a recommendation though are various. It's a really strange film.

If you like whacked out films, I'd say look into Michel Gondry's movies. The Science of Sleep is quite good. My only complaint was that the dialogue jumps from French to Spanish to English, and it can get disorienting.

btw Chass, I don't remember you saying anything. did you like her new album?

Yeah, I made a big post about it in B&C after I got it. It's not her best, but it's pretty good. There are a few songs on it that I don't care for, and a few that I absolutely love.

Spirited Away is a japanese animated film, NOTICE I DID NOT SAY ANIME! It's not anime. It's pretty amazing though if you like cartoons.

Michael Collins is about an Irish revolutionary, Liam Neeson is in it, and it's pretty amazing.

Um, the Original Shall We Dance is a lot like the American Remake, but 1,000 times better.

And Eternal Sunshine, is a truly truly beautiful film

I just did not enjoy School of Rock. I am rarely a fan of Jack Black films, when he stars alone. I get this feeling like he tries too hard as the filming goes on, and since they film scenes out of order, he has a load of good scenes, then a load of over the top scenes all mixed into gether, and it just turns me off

I freaking loved it. It has a great, believable story. It's dark and depressing. The characters feel real. The action sequences are incredibly well done. And the set dressing is beautiful. There's so much in the background that tells you things about the state of the world in 2027 that aren't directly addressed in the movie.

Oh, sure he tries too hard. That's all part of the joke. An unattractive, overweight man trying his damnedest to rock out is a very amusing sight to me. It also has great music, a big heart, and the kids' acting is absolutely fantastic for their age. Not a classic, but extremely enjoyable.
