I would jump out a window if someone started reading a list of my "accomplishments" to a crowd of people. Talk about awkward.

One of the greatest things about this film for me is that I had a teacher who was exactly like Mrs. Robinson, though unfortunately not as attractive. They had the same exact personality though. It's hilarious.

The scuba suit is where I would've given up and shot myself

Horror etc
Just about anything else

Well my favorite movie, like I mentioned earlier is American Beauty. Don't know if you've ever seen it, but it's a fairly dark comedy staring Kevin Spacey and Anette Bening. I recommend that movie quite often. The results of such a recommendation though are various. It's a really strange film.

If you like whacked out films, I'd say look into Michel Gondry's movies. The Science of Sleep is quite good. My only complaint was that the dialogue jumps from French to Spanish to English, and it can get disorienting.

btw Chass, I don't remember you saying anything. did you like her new album?
Yeah, I made a big post about it in B&C after I got it. It's not her best, but it's pretty good. There are a few songs on it that I don't care for, and a few that I absolutely love.

It's in my top 10 as well.

It's one i've always meant to see. I'll give it a look.

I'll be raiding the local Video Ezy after my exams.

*just looked at her DVD shelf* Children of Men is a really good film if you like dystopian movies. There are some incredible action sequences in it too (and they're brutally realistic, not cheesy at all)

Trainspotting's also very good. Bonus Ewan McGregor penis in it too, though I'm sure you're not interested in that.

I heard that is SUPER disappointing.

My top ten films:
American Beauty
The Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Forrest Gump
Pay It Forward :)reject: )
Love Actually
Michael Collins
Spirited Away
Shall We Dance (The original Japanese version)
Field of Dreams
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

If I were to go on Clue, The Neverending Story I & II, Harold and Maude, Die Hard, etc. would be included.

I should go find that list I made in Zoo Station a while back

That's as gratuitous as Jamie Lee Curtis' chest

The Shawshank Redemption - seen it, love it. Glad i wasn't in class to watch it or i'd have cried like a bitch
The Green Mile - always meant to see it
Forrest Gump - haven't seen it in years, but love it
Pay It Forward :)reject: ) - no plans to see it
Love Actually - saw it around Christmas last year. Can't say i was a real fan.
Michael Collins
Spirited Away
Shall We Dance (The original Japanese version)
Field of Dreams
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Haven't seen the rest.

My top 10 favorite movies:

Hot Fuzz
The Godfather
American Beauty
School Of Rock
Trainspotting
Knocked Up
The Blues Brothers
Casino Royale
Pulp Fiction
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Field of Dreams is the baseball film to beat all baseball films, but that might not be up your ally.

Spirited Away is a japanese animated film, NOTICE I DID NOT SAY ANIME! It's not anime. It's pretty amazing though if you like cartoons.

Michael Collins is about an Irish revolutionary, Liam Neeson is in it, and it's pretty amazing.

Um, the Original Shall We Dance is a lot like the American Remake, but 1,000 times better.

And Eternal Sunshine, is a truly truly beautiful film

Seriously? I did not see half of that coming.

I just did not enjoy School of Rock. I am rarely a fan of Jack Black films, when he stars alone. I get this feeling like he tries too hard as the filming goes on, and since they film scenes out of order, he has a load of good scenes, then a load of over the top scenes all mixed into gether, and it just turns me off

A few of those sound good. A baseball film would suit me fine too, since i actually like baseball, because i'm not Axver.

From WHO? :eyebrow:

I freaking loved it. It has a great, believable story. It's dark and depressing. The characters feel real. The action sequences are incredibly well done. And the set dressing is beautiful. There's so much in the background that tells you things about the state of the world in 2027 that aren't directly addressed in the movie.

That's as gratuitous as Jamie Lee Curtis' chest
His penis is less gratuitous in Trainspotting than it is in all the other movies his penis stars in.

Oh, sure he tries too hard. That's all part of the joke. An unattractive, overweight man trying his damnedest to rock out is a very amusing sight to me. It also has great music, a big heart, and the kids' acting is absolutely fantastic for their age. Not a classic, but extremely enjoyable.

Honorable mentions:

Forrest Gump
The Graduate
Almost Famous
Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery

1) I heard it from a few people actually, one of which being someone that usually has the same opinion of films as I do

2) But still. He likes to show that baby off

My top 10 favorite movies:

Hot Fuzz - sounds really familiar, but i probably haven't seen it
The Godfather - never seen it, never really felt like seeing it either
American Beauty

Trainspotting - Always been on the should do list
Knocked Up - that surprises me, but i'll give it a go on your recommendation
The Blues Brothers - can't say i can play it
Casino Royale - i was a bit underwhelmed, but i've never been too into James Bond
Pulp Fiction - absolutely great
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Quite an interesting list.

I saw half of Almost Famous once. I wanna see it again so badly, the Tiny Dancer scene is so epic.

I think I get turned off of Jack Black because I have a friend who loves him as much as this forum love coldplay and radiohead
