i haven't taken spanish in a long time, but german's the same way. it's a lot less complicated than english, but has a lot in common with it, so it's not hard to learn. at least that's what i thought.

i know what you mean. there's so many different countries on both sides of my family, if i learned them all, i wouldn't have time for anything else!

i picked german in high school because it was the most common.
