I'm sure the $99.00 field seats at Soldier Field and Giants Stadium are way in the back.
And also, Soldier Field and Giants Stadium are huge, so there definitely will be cheaper field seats at those venues because they will be so far back.

You're right about Fenway. All the field seats will be premium. I scored Springsteen tix at Fenway a few days before the shows and was right up front on the field, but they didn't bother covering the infield up - there were no seats there. So ALL the field seats were excellent.

U2 has all floor seats at $49.50 and $tone$ have most at $450 and some at $99.
Lets say for argument that there's 2,000 floor seats in a 20,000 seat arena.
Assuming the cost in the balance of the arena is equal (The $tones will be slightly higher, but for argument will call it equal)
U2's floor is $49.50 x 2,000= $99,000
Lets Give the $tones 1500 seats each at $450 and 500 at $99.00 (You and I both know its more like 1,800 at $450 and 200 at $99.00 at best)
$tones floor is 675,000(1500 x 450) plus 49,500(500 x99) =$724,500

So using these very conservative $tones floor figures, their gate for an arena show is $724,500 more than U2's, averaging over 20,000 tickets is $36.23 more per ticket, not $10.00 and I guarantee you it works out a bit higher than that. (Closer to the $150 average I guessed at previously)
Its $99 to $450 at the MCI center meaning all 4 price ranges are used on the floor.

Will know what the average is in September provided that Michael Cohl releases the figures at that time. On the last tour, he waited until the tour was over to release the overall figures because half of the shows on the last tour did not sellout.

That would be 3 price levels, unless 60 slips in between 99 and 450 in the new math.
And in fact you are mistaken about this, you have 2 floor options at MCI, $102 and $403. There are no $163 floor seats, only lowers.
I just checked on Ticketmaster for MCI, if you do the price drop down menu for best available you get the 4 price options.
If you first fill in "floor" on the section drop down menu, then go to the price drop down, you have only 2 options, $102 and $403.
What I have heard is that the first 5 floor rows are $99 ($102 in this case), and the balance are the $400-$450 seats for the arena shows, making my guess of 1800 ($400) seats and 200 ($99) seats either accurate, or assuming to high a percentage of the $99 seats.

Well the fact is there are seats on the floor at both stadium and arena shows that are priced either below or at the same level of as the reported average prices for the tour, $110 Arena; $100 Stadium. No one knows the precise number of seats at each price in each section. We will eventually know the average ticket price for the tour from official stats that will be published by Amusement Business either in the fall at the start of the tour for individual shows or at the end of the tour. Keep in mind the average ticket price on the last tour worldwide was $100 dollars and nearly half the shows did not sellout.
