De Niro-Casino.....and everything else ,more verstile and does'nt SHOUT!!! so much!!

De Niro= ,

Pacino=:rant: :mad:

De Niro in Cape Fear was freaking scary, while I thought he was great as the priest in that movie with Brad Pitt and I can't remember who else or the name of the movie.

Pacino is very exciteable, Devils Advocate was great for him and of course Scarface was too.

I love the movie Heat, where they finally face-off.

Probably De Niro for Goodfellas/Deer Hunter alone..he's managed to pull off so many alternative characters and styles. He can pull off the hard edged, dark, and disturbed characters of Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Godfather II..and then pull off comedic performances like Meet The Parents without raising an eyebrow...that said..Pacino's turn in Dick Tracy wasn't too shabby..nah, sticking with De Niro :p

..~..both superb actors

The movie was Sleepers.

I like both of them, I can't choose. They've been equally excellent in all the movies that I've seen them in.

Bob De Niro.

Between Heat, Ronin, Analyze This, Meet the Parents, AND The Score, he's been on a bit of hot streak the last five years or so.

But I'm surprised no one's yet mentioned one of the finest hours for both Pacino and De Niro...

(As good as Heat was, that ain't it.)

THE GODFATHER, PART II.

THE GODFATHER , the real one , not the fake actor

Al Pacino, cause he makes his roles in less but much better movies , Deniro is filming in too much shit last two years --> SELL OUT ----> :censored: :censored:

AL pacino , cause , he's a man , more colors , and he looks like me ( not by age , but in his timeline at the age of 19 ) .

De Niro
Godfather 2
Taxi Driver
Raging Bull
Deer Hunter
Midnight Run
Goodfellas
Analyze This

Pacino
Godfather 1&2
Sea of Love
Cruising
Dog Day Afternoon
Serpico

They both have made some great movies but De Niro wins solely based on his performance in "Raging Bull."

how do you separate genius?

but if i HAD to pick it would be Pacino. Definately.

i dunno......whoever said hes more sacred because he doesnt do as many films is spot on.

Insomnia(just out over here) is amazing, hes GREAT in it, as is Robin Williams.

Pacino=:drool: :yes: :love:

Ps i INTENSELY DISLIKE MARLON BRANDO. I really really dont like him. at all.

Both brilliant actors But without a doubt, for the number of times just a perfectly placed pause, just a slight change of expression has made me think, master of his craft...

Robert de Niro

hardest question ever.

however:

pacino was michael corleone.

he wins.

Exactly........
Allthough I love them both.....
Too hard to pick between the two I guess :shame:

PACINO!
PACINO!
PACINO!

I do admire De Niro, and it is true that he's done a lot more than Pacino lately, but as most of his recent films have been awful then it doesn't really matter. Its quality, not quantity. Pacino doesn't do as much out of choice. De Niro think himself to be funny, so hence the comedic heatwave, but I despised Meet the Parents and I hated Showtime.

The Godfather Trilogy (Pacino's the one true constant in all movies), Serpico, Scarface, Dog Day Afternoon, Carlito's Way, Scent of a Woman, Devil's Advocate, ...And Justice For All, Donnie Brasco, Heat and just recently... Insomnia. This is a great list of movies he's got here. Insomnia knocks anything De Niro has done recently right out of the water.

Nah. I like Pacino best. The man has style and heart.

A reference, no doubt, to 15 Minutes (good, but not great) and Showtime.

In the SAME span, De Niro also starred in The Score, a damn fine movie in its genre.

Either way, I doubt De Niro's become a "SELL OUT."

BOTH men have had, erm, instances of bad acting / poor film choices. While De Niro was in Rocky & Bullwinkle, Pacino was in Dick Tracy - doing a VERY bad exaggeration of Michael Corleone.

(Speaking of, can anyone tell ANY difference in Pacino's overacting in Dick Tracy and his acting in Godfather III? And one can REALLY enjoy The Devil's Advocate, but I still think Pacino only has moments of brilliance in that movie, nearly ruined by the waaaaaay over-the-top climax.)

But BOTH have given some of film's finest performances EVER.

If you like one of the other, fine: but there's no need to bash the other just to build up the one you like.

Everybody talks about Pacino's performance in 'Dick Tracy' as his worst hour, and compare it to De Niro's horrific Rocky and Bullwinkle... but De Niro wasn't nominated an oscar for his performance in that movie. Pacino was.

Not that the Oscars are always right, but I don't think it does Pacino justice to call it a 'low point' in his career.

PACINO

for Scarface.

z edge be careful... I start to notice similarities between us ;)

De Niro has always been my all time favorite. He's good in comedys as well as dramas. I could watch Midnight Run a hundred times and still laugh just as much. I don't think Pacino has that ability altough he is No. 2 on my list of all time favorite actors.

I love them both but if I have to choose, I'll go with DeNiro. Pacino has a tendency to overact sometimes (Godfather 3, Devil's Advocate). And yeah, DeNiro's made some crap movies, but who hasn't in the course of such a long career?

FAVE DENIRO PERFORMANCES
Godfather II
Raging Bull
Midnight Run
Awakenings

FAVE PACINO PERFORMANCES
Godfather I & II
Dog Day Afternoon
Donnie Brasco

Pacino is much tougher.

I think De Niro has mad some crap movies of late.

"......................................I'm reloading...................."

tough
