i think he is one of the most gifted pop stars of our time. the only reason he is not bigger than justin timberlake is cause he's british and average americans dont get him. he has more personality than britney spears, JT, christina aguilera COMBINED.

i remember him on MTV cribs.. 'thanks for visiting my home.. and if I've offended anyone... I don't really care, because I'm extremely wealthy' )

I personally don't like the guy, as well as his music. I don't know how you can even compare his music with U2....!!!

He is a cocky half pop-star half sexually disturbed guy.

Don't like him!

His girl is cool and all, but what Robbie wants to do is just sit and watch episodes of 'Angel', hence 'I'm loving Angels instead'. The plural (gramatically wrong, of course) is to put on an air of realism.

Yeah.
Thats also how I prefer to interpret the song.

Well, for a start, here are the full lyrics.

Angels

I sit and wait
there's an angel contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When we're grey and old
'cause I've been told
That salvation lets their wings unfold
So when I'm lying in my bed
Thoughts running through my head
And I feel that love is dead
I'm loving angels instead

Chorus:
And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I'm right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won't break me
When I come to call she won't forsake me
I'm loving angels instead

When I'm feeling weak
And my pain walks down a one way street
I look above
And I know I'll always be blessed with love
And as the feeling grows
She breathes flesh to my bones
And when love is dead
I'm loving angels instead

robbie is ok, a bit egotisical. His songs do nothing for me (and if you've seen his documentry, you'll see that they do nothing for him either). I absolutly hate his new stuff with a passon
he's a u2 fan though

Robbie is a great pop star, with an entertaining personality and some great singles. I'm less fond of his newer stuff though.

I think Robbies humour often falls flat on many americans, they just don't 'do' irony
As for Robbie v's JT...no contest ,RW blows him out of the water every time

Robbie has as 'Robbie the entertainer' a big ego. He's so different when he's in his normal 'Rob' mood. He just has got 2 personalities.
I don't always like him but he made very good music. Pop but also rock. Listen to his first album 'Life thru a lens', a liitle bit 'Britpop' like oasis etc.
btw: annyone going to oasis next summer?
