thats sad. I met him about 3 years ago at my bank in Beverly Hills, he was in line behind me with his ( Im assuming, nurse). But he gave me an autograph for my Grandfather, cause pops watches that show every day. He was a very very nice man
 
He's was so hysterical on Three's Company. I wish I had Mr. Furley's confidence with the ladies, especially Lana. He would never take no for answer from Lana.

Truly funny, and seemingly very genuine and dedicated :(
He had bit parts in many shows, including some recent ones if I recall.
 
Haven't heard this before reading this thread... VERY sad news...
Loved Don Knotts for many years. He was one of the greatest comic actors! :sad:
 
I loved the character Mr Furley.

I actually dressed as him for Halloween one year, I think it was 1998. I wore the ascott, the bell bottoms, the big butterfly collar and did all of his manerisms and expressions
