With Man Utd's imminent signing for 30 million sterling of Leed's Rio Ferdinand, can anyone stop them next season? With a central defence of Rio and John O'Shea (maybe) surely all their defensive frailties of last season will be erased. What are your predictions for the Premiership next season? Winner gets a 'Who's Jaap Stam t-shirt'

Who is John O'Shea?

I think their central defenders will be "slow" Laurent Blanc, and "overpriced" Rio Ferdinand, still is very possible Man U will win, they were already favorites imo.

John O'Shea is the captain of the Irish Under 21 team who has already been capped for the full team against Croatia last year and was even been considered for a world cup place. He made a number of appearences in the premiership and champions league for Utd last season and is considered one of the brightest prospects at the club by Sir Alex Ferguson, now that Stan's retired from the Irish set up, John will surely take his place in the squad. I doubt 'slow' Larry White will start many games but his experience and knowledge of the game can only help players like O'Shea and Brown for anothar season. A partnership of Wes and Rio looks like one of the best in Europe IMO
