Oasis

I got all of their albums for my birthday, and their surprisingly solid.

I had thought of them as one-trick britpop ponies for a while, but I was seriously wrong.

Magic Pie's got me grooving right now

Helios (ambient)
A Northern Chorus (shoegaze/post-rock or something)
Beirut (European folk by an American guy)
The Appleeseed Cast (post-rock with emo (?))

I love this thread

'This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)' by Talking Heads

I listened to this song randomly one day and have been hooked since.

R.E.M. - mainly anything from Automatic through Reveal

Radiohead - everything but Pablo Honey

Muse - Black Holes and Revelations, I seriously don't remember the last time I was so much in love with an album - and I never even liked Muse before.

Me too, except I think I simply didn't listen to them before because I assumed they were just another Brit-pop band. How wrong I was.

Comets on Fire - Avatar
both albums by Final Fantasy
The Samuel Jackson Five - Easily Misunderstood
UpCDownCLeftCRightABC+Start - And the Battle is Won

and the song "The Eraser" by Thom Yorke

I'd prefer the old Misfits/Danzig-esque haircut circa the 'Totalimmortal' video period.

Can't get enough of:

Tom Vek - 'A Little Word In Your Ear'
Midlake - 'Roscoe' (and the rest of the album)
