He's talented, but sometimes he's very depressing, you can't listen to his music for more than 10 minutes

Richard Ashcroft - I ADORE his voice!

I watched a tape with The Verve playing at Glastonbury 98 (I think) and wow, again......beautiful.

His voice is amazing, how he is able to sing a note so long, it becomes a beautiful trance - take The Test, for example.

he is not perfect looking, but thats what I prefer.

I have got 2 albums from The Verve, nothing from Richard solo.
Sometimes it's depressing but overall 2 very good albums!

Why he's always barefoot on stage?

I "Keys to the World"! Finally found it in the shop today

Some of his stuff can definitely be depressing, but there is no denying the talent as a songwriter.

I love what he did with The Verve - true quality. But I listened to one of his solo albums once and wasn't particularly taken ...

I never really liked the first two solo albums... but I do like "Keys to the World" as an album. Less depressing, great melodies & lyrics.

I would recommend checking out this album even if you didn't like the previous solo efforts
