First time I saw it, I thought it was reasonably funny, although unbelievable.

Second time, I just thought it was stupid and not that funny at all.

You don't know the guy, who's to say he's like that in real life?

Can't decent people find other decent people out there, regardless of appearance, or am I living in fantasy land?

If you mean one decent person who is in excellent physical shape and attractive and ambitious and successful + another decent person who is not in good physical shape and is marginally passable as far as looks go and is ambitious and successful --> maybe, but uphill battle.

If you mean one decent person who is in excellent physical shape and attractive and ambitious and successful + one decent, affable idiot who lives like a pig, has gross habits and no regard for his appearance and spends his time on pursuits befitting 20 year olds in college --> fantasy land.

Yes. I know some guys like that (example A) who I'm attracted to. But they are generally not fat and out of shape, just maybe not hot in any traditional kind of way but they are attractive, because there is a certain refinement there even if they're not good looking in the classical sense.

Because they've got all of the other requisites to have your attention.

Fuck, I can't believe this spun off of a movie.

Maybe it all boils down to the "Film vs. Movie" debate.

This is what happens when the FYM crowd invades the movie thread.

I think that is the fourth time you said "fat" tonight

I know that you are extremely conscientious about being fit

so if a guy is out of shape, he is out of luck with you.

I have a friend that went vegetarian and quit sugar, and alcohol awhile back, she really needs to date someone with the same life style choices

Lance, I would suggest checking out The Flight of the Red Balloon, which is playing at the same theatre in DC where Blueberry is. I haven't seen it yet but I'm reading VERY good things about it, including that it may contain Juliette Binoche's best performance to date. Which would be a pretty major achievement.

Trailer:

It will be the next thing I see after the Wong.

Possibly. I love film/movies/whatever they hell they're called very much, it's probably the field I most want to get into as a career in some capacity. Some are made to be serious jabs at modern society and its wrongs, while others are supposed to be entertainment. It's up to you to perceive them as you will, but I hate when people try and make X out to be something like Y and don't judge it based on what it is/tries to be.

I've had a guest in town over the weekend, and should be caught up on WKW within the next few days.

You and MS are still going to have to die for seeing it before me, unfortunately.

ok,

I saw two films this week end

The Life Before Her Eyes

7.5/10

I like this quite a bit.
Uma is good, lately I am paying attention to her height, she is tall

she wears flats or sandals thoughout the movie

Evan Rachel Wood is very good

also
I saw

Dark Matter

7/10

I like Aidan Quinn a lot. He does good work here. Streep is good. The Chinese actor, Ye Liu is great.

People are complaining about the ending.
But, it is taken from an actual event.

both films involve campus shootings
so if that bothers you
don't go.
