300 was visually stunning, incredibly bombastic, and historically spurious. I felt that the presentation of the Persians was especially misleading, as they were certainly more able and humane administrators than the Spartans ever were- certainly not the faceless mass of the film. In any case, I found it to be entertaining but ultimately rather fatuous.

5/10

I caught most of Cool Hand Luke last night. Paul Newman

One of the classic lines from this movie that I've heard over the years (and now know where it comes from):

"What we have here is failure to communicate"

9/10

Blades of glory 6/10

not as funny as i had hoped, not wil ferrel's greatest work. some pretty crappy effects , however jenna fischer (the office ) makes it worth a look, she is

Troll 2 - 10/10

Holy shit. I just finished watching this and I'm having a hard time processing what I just watched. This film is honestly an underrated cinematic masterpiece. I was blown away by the special effects, flawless cinematography, stimulating dialogue, and not the mention the most stellar ensemble cast I've seen in any film since Lawrence of Arabia.

Any film that can break IMDB's bottom 100 is worth at least 1 viewing.

It's still no Lawrence of Arabia.

No, but a fist and a penis aren't a bad combination, you have to admit

But seriously, there has to be some value in a film that can make it all the way to #19 on the bottom 100. It must have done something so wrong it's right.

Aaaaanyway.

Infamous

8/10

I really, really liked Capote, but I have to say Infamous is better. I liked having more about Capote himself, rather than just the "In Cold Blood" stuff.

Toby Jones was great. So was Philip Seymour Hoffman, but maybe we should at least let Toby Jones have custody of it for half the year.
