"Remastered" Star Trek

one of the local stations in town plays these "new remastered" Original Star Trek episodes.

I these new effects take away from the cheesiness and fun of the show, but at the same time, it keeps the show from looking really dated.

What do you guys think about the new effects added to the Original Series?
