Hey fah! I'm actually back in my home town of Kelowna for a few months, hoping to move back to Van in the Spring. I haven't bought tickets. The Orpheum should be a great show venue for them though.

And American Thanksgiving! Yeah, I didn't even realize that was the date. I guess that's probably what it is.

Ah, you lucky West Coast people get to experience the Athens band Five Eight! I can't count the amount of times I've seen them here over the last 10 years. They put so much emotion and energy in their show, it's just fabulous. It's about time they got some exposure.

Eh, that's odd. Maybe they won't let Mike Mantione cross the border?

I just read this in my local paper...
Quote:
R.E.M. plans CD listening party

A preview listening party for R.E.M.'s 15th album, "Around the Sun," will be held from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 4 in Little Kings Bar at the corner of North Hull Street and West Hancock Avenue in downtown Athens.
This should be fun.
I wish U2 did this sort of thing in multiple cities.

i will be at this show. it's just too bad that bad religion are playing boston on the same night. it's a lot easier to see bad religion than it is REM, i'm certainly not complaining. this show is going to kick ass.

I know, if I had to pick one show, it'd be the outdoor one, but I figured why the heck not see them twice, especially as it's not a coupla nights running.
Just wait, it'll be July before you know it.
