Randooooomdadooooooomdoooooooom

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Actually, I have lots to do away from the internet keep me occupied.

~U2 by U2

~Ireland by Frank Delaney. I've only read a little of it but one of my Ireland obsessed coworkers read it and he loved it. It's really good so far.

~Professional Baking---chapter 1. :crack: I've already read it once but it's incredibly confusing. It starts off so nice. It talks about the beginnings of baking in early times and then it ends up so evil. It talks about metrics, scaling, weighing. You have to be scientist to understand it. So I need to read it a few more times and maybe pop in the CD that came with the book.

I also have the last 2 episodes of Rick Steves' Ireland to watch. I've watched the Dublin one a million times. I wish I could go back now and see everything that I missed.

Staying home most likely tonight as well. Was invited a few places, but this year has been as such that I kind of prefer for it to end quietly. I was really considering going to a friend's place tonight, but a mini-drama starring me  has erupted from that so I'm staying as far away from that as humanly possible.

Boys :madwife: (Present company excluded, of course :sexywink: )

U2 By U2 sounds like a good idea, arw. I got it for Christmas an am in the middle of when they're recording October. I am in love with that book, it's awesome.

Nothing like a little drama!

I havent even started reading U2 by U2 yet. Just flipped through looking at the pictures. :reject:

I rented "Invincible" for tonight. Sports movie obviously but I heard its pretty good. Nothing else new at the video store looked interesting to me anyway.

Well....I guess I am also going to have to watch The Devil Wears Prada and March of the Penguins.

I have no idea what the 1st movie is about. I've always wanted to see March of the Penguins.

The Vikings are being murdered right now. Oh well. Not like it would have done anything for them to win other than a win.

OK.....back to reading.......

Insanity, why even bother going if its that busy. I would find something else to do, even if I was there on vacation. Pay $80 to wait in line all day basically.

That's why annual passes are great. They're expensive, but if you go 4 or 5 times a year, they pay for themselves (and I go more than that :reject: ). It's nice just to go for a few hours, go on a couple of rides and have a nice lunch or dinner, then go home and not feel you have to see everything .

Oh, and my dad got my sister, brother and I funpasses to Busch Gardens for Christmas :). That place is insanely crowded since they started the funpass program because all of the local kids go there, but if I don't have to pay for it, I don't mind the crowds . I'll have to file a roller coaster report for you Blue Room .

Yeah, same with the Bucs. Not that I care about the Bucs, it doesn't even count anymore. I think if Gruden has another season like this one, he'll be gone. He gets a pass this year because our starting quaterback lost his spleen (literally  ).

Also staying home tonight. We traditionally cook lots of appetizers and have them for dinner, but my sister convinced dad to make a ham tonight. I'll miss my mini-hot dogs :grumpy:.

My sister is currently obsessed with World of Warcraft (she got it from a friend for Christmas). It might just be me and Anderson Cooper at midnight tonight .

Is that a travel book or a history book? I need to start planning the next grand vacation .

I've posted a lot in a row, but that's what happens when you're at the movies for most of the day :reject:.

kelly and arw, it could be worse. Your NFL franchise could be the Lions! Who will win today because it will cost them the first pick in the first round draft. Cant even lose when they should! Not that it would matter. They would probably draft another receiver that wouldnt pan out.

March of the Penguins is really good, but have a box of tissues handy.

I need to get going. I said I was going to go get my supplies for tonight, what, two hours ago? :reject:

I'm stopping by my mom's, too. Have to pick up a couple of things and I want to see Nikki (her beagle) before I get caught all back up in work and school and only go there on Sundays.

It's actually fiction. It's a book set in Ireland.

As far as travel....buy anything that Rick Steves makes. I  him!

:sigh: someday I'll get back there. Maybe for 3 months next year as a student. If nothing else, my graduation gift to myself in 15 months.

I'm staying home and am very happy about doing so. It's nasty weather out and even though I was invited to a friends I feel a cold coming on and honestly the rain was so bad driving home you couldnt pay me to go back out in it. I did get a bunch of goodies for my mom and I and we're planning on spending it with Anderson Cooper like Kelly. My mom has a small crush on him so it could be fun to teasing her. She hasn't been in that kind of fun/playful mood in ages so I'm going to be relentless in trying to bring it out.

Now if only the pizza I ordered for dinner would show up I would be a happy gal right now! I'm starrrrrrving!

I'll be starting this book very soon! :D

CF gave me a really cool bookmark as part of my gift this year so I am all set!

:shifty: :uhoh: I gave you a bookmark too....it's the long stringy thing with a celtic knot on the end.

I took a tiny little nap. Just turned the game back on. WTF is up with the Bears?!?!? :madspit:

March of the Penguins.....so cute!!!!!!! However, :reject: I don't get what the big deal is about this film over any other animal story. It was just like watching something off of Animal Planet. :reject: :der: But it was really cute.

I dont think they played most of their starters tonight.

I watched Invincible. It was pretty good, not great, but good.

I have been watching a marathon deal on Discovery Channel about these guys climbing Mount Everest. I have seen it before but not all together. These people are insane for even trying to do it. They pass by dead bodies on the way up and down. A few of them lost some fingers and toes from frostbite. All to climb a mountain?! Ok, sorry, the truly randoooom part of my post. Sorry :shifty:

There was a really good "Growing up Polar Bear" on Animal Planet last hour.

I agree about the Bears. I flipped and caught the score. WTF indeed . What happened to Rex? Did he get benched?

And The Goo Goo Dolls are on Anderson Cooper. Oh Anderson, please don't make me flip to Ryan Seacrest :tsk:

edited to add:
I dont think they played most of their starters tonight.

I guess that answers my question :)

ok I really need to eat something other than toast or crackers but I'm scared to death to eat a thing right now. I don't even have any oatmeal. That would perfect. I hope the grocery store or Target is open tomorrow.

A banana?

:(

Thanks for the idea but......

Bananas are in the same category as any meat product and raw onions......stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will eat almost any fruit in the world but bananas or anything banana related needs to stay far far away.

:der: There used to be a point in my life where I would literally gag to the point that I could throw up if I saw someone eating a banana. :reject: My mom thinks I must have gotten sick off of one when I was really little because she said I did eat them at one point. She actually just reminded me recently that I'll probably have to make desserts with bananas. :uhoh:

Aren't you glad you mentioned that one? :flirt:

I can't even eat another cracker. The salt is killing me. I think I'll just stick to 7 Up for tonight and then go out tomorrow for oatmeal and jello. At this point it's probably more in my goofy head than anything. I would probably be fine if I ate something but I'm too scared.

 The news is all over Brett's breakdown after the game. I hate speculation. Why can't they just let him decide on his on time?

Oh wait......first they need to talk about the ridiculous bowl game for the Gophers on Friday and how they fired the long time Gopher football coach because of it.

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

His name was Rico, he wore a diamond
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Lola dancin' there
And when she finished, he called her over
But Rico went a bit too far, Tony sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was blood and a single gun shot
But just who shot who?

But that was 30 years ago, when they used to have a show
Now it's a disco, but not for Lola
Still in the dress she used to wear, faded feathers in her hair
She sits there so refined, and drinks herself half-blind
She lost her youth and she lost her Tony
Now she's lost her mind!
