When I originally saw the video for Beautiful Day, and right into those first few weeks/months that I was getting into U2...I didn't know who that guy running around the airport being a jackass was. Because, apparently I was unaware of the magic of filmmaking, it didn't occur to me in the scene where he's sitting next to the band that he very possibly could have been green screened in, so I assumed he couldn't possibly be Bono. And, up until that point, I hadn't actually seen Bono without his sunglasses. I actually pretty vividly remember a point coming at which I finally said to myself, "Holy shit, that's Bono."

i'm sure i've posted this before, but that reminds me of when i was first getting into u2. i saw the video for ishfwilf and didn't know adam was in the band. i thought he was just some drunk they found on the street and he somehow happened to know the chorus.

FYI, I'm going to see that "U2" band today. Anyone here like them?

I've heard of them. They played "The New Faces Club" here a little while back. We left before they took the stage though, I was only there for the punk band "The Offenders".

Humorously, the only things I can find online about "The New Faces Club" is that U2 played there in '81. There's nothing else anywhere about it having existed. Wonder if it that was actually the name of a club, or at some point someone got it screwed up.

45,000. It's bigger than the picture makes it look, but it's still fairly small in the grand scheme of things. It's where the 2002 Winter Olympic ceremonies were held.

It was only known as 'Rice Stadium' when U2 played there on PopMart. Named after donor Robert L Rice.

I would guess less than other stadiums on the tour, although as of a few weeks ago, there were still GA's available, and even now GA's are going for less than face value on the local classifieds website.
