I--uh---I'm trying to think of an excuse.

I guess it was some kind of tribute to their roots together at Temple, but frankly he looked like an ass on stage with Katz' family and Bill Clinton in suits. Saw clips of it on the news here (was big news locally cause the plane crashed here) and couldn't believe what he was wearing.

Interpol has announced a new album coming out in September for whoever is interested.

Nice. Not sure how they'll fare without Carlos D though... their bass was a really distinctive part of their sound.

I remember listening to Untitled in the CD section of a bookstore - you know, where they'd have CDs on display you could listen to? I was in 7th grade and the moment the bass kicked in my mind was blown and I immediately bought the album. Still one of my favourite albums to this day.

I would pay to hear Interpol's singer to say icebox a couple times. Maybe twice.

How about The Coz' outfit for Lewis Katz' memorial service...

I saw an interview with this guy a few months back, on The Daily Show, I think. I have a hard time believing he is in his right mind. He spent the whole segment telling a rambling story about John Stewart swearing at a fundraiser, almost Grandpa Simpson style.

I'm very much looking forward to the new Interpol album. They're one of my favorite bands going. And I also liked the self-titled a great deal.

I've listened to Turn On the Bright Lights again. The first half is some of the best music of the 00s. The second half, apart from the wonderful closer, drags a bit. I prefer Specialist (which is one of their best), to the two 6+ minute tracks on TOTBL.

In any case, it's somewhat bittersweet to see that they've peaked so early. Literally. I still feel Untitled is by far and away their greatest song.

I agree with everything in this post, but I want to make sure that you're including Hands Away as one of the great tracks. Because it absolutely is one of those.

I am. I don't particularly care for the Obstacle 2-The New section, although The New has some great moments, particularly in the first half.

Specialist should have been on that record.

Carlos D hasn't done much on the last couple albums any way. Too bad Pajo didn't stick with them, I would have loved to have heard an album with him playing bass.

This is pretty neat-o

The next edition in our picture disc series has arrived just in time for summer!

Places Like This, the Polyvinyl debut from Australia's Architecture in Helsinki, is filled to the brim with infectious pop rhythms and more than enough dance floor anthems to keep the party going until late in the night.

The album's acclaimed artwork -- by UK illustrator Will Sweeney -- is put on full display here, providing a glimpse into the intricacies and mayhem of the music within the grooves.

This one-time pressing is limited to 300 numbered copies.

I was about to shell out for a new Classic, but a friend back in Wisconsin posted on Facebook that she was looking for a buyer for hers. Barely used, even bigger GB than the one I had. $125. BOOM.

Just buy an HTC one and a 128Gb sdcard. Best music player I've ever had

If I were to buy anything other than an iPod, it would have to support hi-res. I was thinking about a Fiio X5, but hard to beat the deal they gave me on a replacement iPod. The fact that my car has iPod integration is also a big factor.

I have a Pono coming in October, assuming they actually make their shipment date.
