Just last night I was watching a Michael Stipe interview where he mentioned that songs like "Shiny Happy People" and "Stand" and "Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite" were R.E.M.'s ode to the cartoonish '60s pop bands like the Monkees.

Not sure what that has to do with anything. Just a coincidence, really. Unless Stipe killed Davy Jones and hid the body in his graying beard.

It's about 60 today, and sunny. Damn do I wish I had better CDs in my car to bump on days like this. All I have is shit like TUF and Kid A. Winter music.

Elfa is a teenage dream, a firework wearing daisy dukes and bikini tops, kissing girls and liking it, waking up in Vegas, thinking of last Friday night and the one that got away.

A joke has to make sense before it can be tasteless. :tsk:

Also, do you think Bowie will try and reclaim his original name?

Yeah, I loved those all back in the day, but I really don't care to ever hear them again.

Okay, maybe Dreams.

Weak, throw that shit out the window and blast some Katy Perry

Tasteless joke warning

I guess Davy Jones' Locker was a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I want to shove you in a locker for making such an unfunny joke. I just hope they don't write about me in that FYM thread :(

You know who I really like? Teddy Thompson - son of Richard.

He's put out three really good albums. I like his voice, I like his songs. Huzzah!
