Unfortunately...I didn't want to say anything because I was hoping I got better news, but I was actually let go from my job last week. Friday's my last day. There was a chance I was going to stay, but it just didn't work out. I have an interview somewhere else tomorrow, so hopefully that works out. Really bummed out that this happened, but it is what it is, I suppose.

.

Best of luck with the interview.

Speaking of which, Miley Cyrus entered a music video into a porn film festival today.

I have stuck to my "New Year's Resolution" pretty well so far this year, and I have been exercising every day/eating better. I started the year at 5'1" 168 pounds,up 17 pounds from when I lost a bunch of weight two years ago /sigh. However, I'm down to 161 now, so things are going pretty well. It's just a matter of being more consistent with myself, and the fact is that when I quit my job back then, I just didn't have the time/energy to keep up with it, which is a horrible excuse. Hopefully things get better.

Totally listening to Magnetic Fields right now, gang. They're basically the best.

Best of luck. If it makes you feel any better, I was in a similar position (got laid off 1 month after my daughter was born) back in 2009. It was rough at first but I recovered and am doing better in my career than ever now. Keep your head high. You'll find something better.

Interview went really well, but I've played this game before. Just going to sit here and try not to think too much about it until the "we'll let you know" time passes.

Just wanted to leave this here...

Good luck with the job search, 212.

That interview definitely makes it easier to understand where Kanye is coming from, but at the same time, he makes an awful lot of weird word choices for someone who claims to be misunderstood very often, and for someone who is, you know, a professional chooser of words.

I haven't watched it yet, but honestly, I can't see an explanation where I nod my head and say, "yep, that makes more sense, ok." One time, whatever, fine, he's not the first person to have ever done it. But this is certainly not the first time.
