Interference has made the mistake of eliminating Creep last round. This means that Blow Out will be Pablo Honey's lone representative in the final draw. Onwards now to The Bends, which will send three songs to the final draw.

13 - Creep
Total: 27

Songs Already Eliminated:
11.Creep
10.Stop Whispering
9.Thinking About You
8.You
7.Lurgee
=5.Prove Yourself
=5.Anyone Can Play Guitar
=1.How Do You?
=1.Ripcord
=1.Vegetable
=1.I Can't

Album Ranking/Weighting
1.OKC - 3 Songs in the final draw
2.Kid A - 3 Songs in the final draw
3.The Bends - 3 Songs in the final draw
4.In Rainbows - 2 songs in the final draw
5.Amnesiac - 2 songs in the final draw
6.HTTT - 2 songs in the final draw
7.Pablo Honey - 1 song in the final draw - Blow Out
8.MIL, A/HAID, and CL EPs as well as IR-Disc 2 - 2 songs each in the final draw
9.Two misc b-sides draws - 3 songs each in the final draw
Total: 30 songs in the final draw

Die Sulk Die! It's Pablo Honey quality.

And thank God that Blow Out won. There are at least 3 songs better than Creep on Pablo Honey. (You, Lurgee and the already mentioned winner)

All you really need is Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry and Street Spirit. An 8 way elimination would be dope.

High and Dry ftw.

Street Spirit FTL.

My least-listened-to/least favorite song on the whole damn record.

To hell with it. Easily Radiohead's most pretentious song to date.

:tsk:

AOD strongly disagrees with that, as he takes tiny bites from his almond butter toast and delicately sips his lemon tea.

Not only is it the standout song...it also has the best lyrics:

Rows of houses all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out

This machine will not communicate
These thoughts and the strain I am under
Be a world child, form a circle
Before we all go under
And fade out again and fade out again

Cracked eggs, dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death, can see it's beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out again

Immerse your soul in love
Immerse your soul in love.

Where does one start, I would love to see a Bones v The Bends final, but there's no chance of that unfortunately. An album saturated in sickeningly overrated songs.....

My Iron Lung is mindless noise, out it goes.....

Sulk is freaking awesome just like the rest of the album! I especially love it when the guitar really kicks in after the second chorus... and then the final chorus rolls in on a higher octave. I vote My Iron Lung with a heavy heart. After this, I don't know if I can even vote for anything else. Might have to completely abstain till Ok... wait, for the rest of the survivor. :|

The best songs on this album are the ones that actually do something really interesting musically(Planet Telex/Nice Dream), the ones that acknowledge they're breezy rock hooks (The Bends, Just, Black Star) or the ones with a serious tone that actually have the appropriate substance to justify the approach (Fake Plastic Trees, Bulletproof).

Street Spirit falls into none of those categories.

And that's not because it's some sort of transcendent masterpiece, it is because it's lofty, meaningless doo-doo.

Street Spirit is a good tune, I like it. It also has a nice build up and then it breaks sort of like a wave on the beach when Thom starts in with the "oh oh oh" part. It has good flow. Not as good as some other tunes, but better than most on this album. I've always felt this album was a bit overrated anyhow. I give it a 7.75/10.

Neither of those do anything even remotely interesting musically.

OMG, we ALL have opinions?!

My Iron Lung sucks. I never liked the song, and I can't believe it was released as an EP. It's just generic. Street Spirit may be boring, pretentious, whatever, but at least it has the decency to be at the end of the album.

Sulk isn't as good as the rest of The Bends, but I give it credit for Thom's very powerful vocal, which reaches a Bono level of bombast.

 Sulk > all of you.

Voted for Just, simply because I believe it never lived up to the hype. Still a good song though. Kind of says a lot about how great this album is.

BTW, best song on this album is Black Star. That anthemic chorus...that bass line...
