Creep because I don't like Blow Out too much.

Stop Whispering will still be my fave.

I'm still lamenting the loss of my Ripcord. :(

Blow Out...best lyrics of the final two. Plus, the ending is a mini-preview of the guitar chaos/brilliance that lies ahead.

Creep is overly drenched in Nirvana.

Ahhhh, tough call. Even though I prefer Blow Out right now, Creep is the more classic of the two. I'm going to have to think about this.

Blow Out is an amazing song.

Creep is plain average.

I am fused just in case I blow out!!!!!!!!!

Yesss!

I don't hate Creep, but I do hate that it makes me think of Nirvana instead of Radiohead. The best part of the song is the crescendo...amazing. As a whole, though, it's become a bit of an overdone anthem.

Blow Out is an underrated nugget of goodness...especially lyrically.

Yeah exactly! The loud distorted guitar, the chorus and the crescendo are the best parts. But it's definitely a little too Nirvana influenced to be Radiohead. lol

Despite the fact that I prefer Blow Out these days (the acoustic version with The Posies is fantastic), I voted for Creep. Creep was (and to some degree, still is) their big hit, who knows what would have happened to them without it catching on. Would they have even gotten a chance at a second album? Would they have gotten the support from the label or interest from the producer? Would they have even had the confidence to release something as different as The Bends without a hit like Creep? Despite us all being sick of it, despite it not being one of their best tracks by any means, it still was what gave Radiohead a shot and the ability to be who they became. For that, I give it props.

That said, I hope I don't ever have to sit through it live.

What kind of rationale is that? You're voting for it because of its prominence, even though you like the other song better?

Who gives a shit if it broke them big? This isn't a poll to determine Radiohead's career benchmarks, it's picking the best songs on the album. Why the hell have the poll in the first place then? We all know Creep was the breakout single.

I just don't understand this at all.

You don't understand that I think it's the better song, despite preferring to listen to other things more at the moment?

For example, I prefer listening to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club these days more than Jesus and Mary Chain, but that doesn't mean that I don't think JAMC are a better group.

Anyways, that's why.

You said you preferred Blow Out, it wasn't clear that you preferred listening to it, or preferred it as a song. Your subsequent defense seemed to do more with its significance in Radiohead's history than any discussion of quality, aside from the suggestion that Creep isn't to be counted among their best, or that we're all sick of it (which doesn't tend to happen with the best songs). Isn't the quality of the songs what this poll is about? Or do you feel that Pablo Honey has no business even being represented?

Agreed, I didn't really explain that I prefer Creep overall in my original statement. But yeah, I am saying that I do. Regardless, it's a meaningless poll for fun, I think any rationale is fine, as long as it's mine.
