Thanks to the recommendations of Interferences I picked up The Bends by Radiohead last year and just recently Grace by Jeff Buckley. I?ve been impressed with both. I?m thinking of making a compilation CD consisting of some powerful, emotional songs such as Fake Plastic Trees and Hallelujah. I would appreciate recommendations of similar type songs by other artists.

Wish You Were Here or On the Turning Away- Pink Floyd
Raining in Baltimore, Round Here- Counting Crows

I'll have more later.

I?m looking for intense, evocative vocal performances such as these from Sinead O Connor :
Troy ? The Lion And The Cobra ? her first album
Three Babies ? I Don?t Want What I Haven?t Got ? her second album
Hold Back The Night ? Faith And Courage ? her latest album
I imagine there is probably a couple from PJ Harvey, Roy Orbison, etc. Are there other incredible vocal performances by Thom Yorke ?
