What the heck is with Life in a Glass House? Thom's voice is bloody awful. It's like U2 and Two Shots of Happy, except Bono had the voice for it. I love Thom's voice, but it just seems really out of place on that song.

but yeah, Amnesiac just doesn't do a lot for me as an album. Pyramid Song is good for sure, but I don't think it's that good. It's just kinda the same thing throughout. for me the highlight of the album is definitely You and Whose Army, which... I Might Be Wrong is pretty badass and I do love me some Pulk/Pull, just because it's so ridiculous (and that beat is killin it). the album has good songs, but only a couple that are really great. Hail is better, though also inconsistant.

From what I've read here about AtEase, that might not be a bad thing.

Also, can someone tell me what Lift is? I didn't see that on the Radiohead b-sides collection I downloaded (and hope to review soon).

And don't tell me it's another Thom solo track!

Oh yeah, I Will sucks. That doesn't even deserve one star let alone five.

If you truly think I Will sucks, then...well, I don't even know what to say. It is an utterly gorgeous song.

It needed to be stretched out a bit. Maybe tighten up the vocals a bit as well. I would take Faust Arp over that in a heartbeat.

omg, is it At Ease? I always thought it was A Tease :lmao: I've never really been there. I kind of hate Radiohead fans. Well, some of them.

The vocals are the best part! The backing vocals from 1:20-onward are absolutely fucking perfect. Like an angel singing.

And Life In A Glass House is really brilliant. I love it. I think Thom's voice is just fine in it.

Beautiful placement of the song in Children Of Men, too(brilliant film, btw).

 I promise not to be indier than thou.

 obviously i don't hate you. i don't hate the level-headed Radiohead fans. Just the ones who walk around with their mouths open looking for Thom's pole to suck while their eyes roll up in their heads as they are so self-indugled with their brilliant intepretation of THE RAINDROPS, THE RAINDROPS, THE RAINDROPS as they put the finishing touches on their shitty, grainy, thermal-filtered fan video.

also, I Will pretty much sucks.

and Gagging Order is fucking gorgeous. and There There is amazing. I'm really coming around on this song. I thought it was good from the beginning, but I think I'm getting the hype now.

:It barely has 8 actual songs. :lmao:

Have to agree with you there, though Pulk/Pull might be one of these non-songs you allude to, and I must defend that piece of Radiohead brilliance, one of the highlights of the Radiohead canon, a piece that epitomises the Kid Amnesiaic musical direction.

Oh yeah, just to start trouble:

Mercy > anything on Rainbows.

Wierd Fishes > Mercy > Everyone else on In Rainbows

Though for me, I'm claiming that I've only heard roughly half of In Rainbows.

There's 8 other tunes to hang out for, and Radiohead's b-sides have never failed to amaze me.

Just listenend to The Bends again. I'm trying to re-discover it's brilliance but I can't hear it. Just some occasional sweet tracks (The Bends, Sulk, Planet Telex)

The Bends is bloody excellent. Only "Sulk" fails to hold up to the incredibly high quality of the rest of the album, which has at least five genuine classics: High & Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, Bulletproof, Just, and Street Spirit- and that is not to mention Nice Dream and Black Star.

I just keep on wanting to listen to In Rainbows over and over again. I rarely have the experience of wanting to listen to an album so often in such a short time. I don't know how it compares to the other albums yet, but I can say that I really, really like it, and that I've never felt this way about a Radiohead album before. I love the whole thing. I can't even pick a favorite song because they're all so good.

On a separate note, I really like the song "I Will" too.
