Anyways, the point that I was trying to make is that it is pretty lame to call Wilco's SBS 'dad rock' while praising RH for making the same type of record.

I don't know...:der:

I mean I prefer In Rainbows...but its not as boring to me as SBS

IMO of course

Fake Empire > 15 Step
Mistaken for Strangers > Bodysnatchers
Brainy > Nude
Squalor Victoria < Arpeggi (but just barely)
Green Gloves > All I Need
Slow Show > Faust ARP
Apartment Story > Reckoner
Start A War < House of Cards (again, not by much)
Guest Room < Jigsaw
Racing Like A Pro > Vide o tape

And we didn't even get to Ada or Gospel

Boxer is so good.

15 Step > Goodnight Rose
Bodysnatchers > Two
Nude > Everybody Knows
Arpeggi > Oh My God, Whatever, Etc.
All I Need > Tears of Gold
Faust > The Sun Also Sets
Reckoner >>>>>>>>>> Off Broadway
House of Cards >>>> Pearls on a String
Jigsaw > Rip Off
Videotape > Two Hearts, These Girls, and I Taught Myself How to Grow Old

I'm still sad Easy Tiger sucks so fiercely.

I'm going to stop doing this vs. thing now. Gotta kill time between classes somehow, though.

Ok. Cause I thought In Rainbows was an incredible boring album the first 5-10 times I listened to it. I then began to hear things I liked ... or it began to melt my brain.

Subliminal messaging.

SBS is a good album

In Rainbows...is a bit more exciting for me

"your mouth moves only with someone's hands up your ass"

Now you're catching on.

Let's just convert Dalton and the Drooling Man and call it a day's work.

Not really sure what needs convincing. If they just listen to the album their minds should explode with aural love juice. It's impossible to avoid.

You are said Drooling Man. I'll email Boxer and the Stage Names to both of you.

Those will probably get taken down because of this board's ridiculous rules, so if you don't get them before then, put your email addys in here. I've got to head to class.

I love you dude

thanx

I'll see what the drooling is all about

Agreed.

Though I do like In Rainbows more. But Sky Blue Sky is one of the year's best, for sure. Impossible Germany was song of the year for me until All I Need came along.

On my walk back from class, Cymbal Rush came on shuffle.

This may be a bold assessment, but I think it's better than any In Rainbows song.

Alligator was 100x better than Boxer to my ears. Actually, Boxer is probably the biggest disappointment of the year for me. To each their own.

That is not an album. That is not a rebel song either. It's Sunday Bloody Sunday.

I'm not sure about my pick for album of the year actually. :hmm: Neon Bible, American Doll Posse, In Rainbows, Send Away The Tigers are all up there!

Everything listed so far has been crap compared to this audio-visual tour-de-force:

FTW.
