I like Arpeggi more than Jigsaw, but I still love both tracks.

I'm also Old Gregg.

To insinuate that Jigsaw would bring down Side B... that... that is wrong.

 I meant it more like "I prefer Arpeggi to Jigsaw" and less like "Jigsaw brings side B down"... you know what I mean?

Okay.

Now we're fine.

And you want to trade this for Jersey? :coocoo:

:slant: I know... this would actually not be a bad place to live in (except for the cold icy winters) if I knew more people here. Plus for a family life and raising kids and stuff, this place is cool. It's boring for a nightlife nut like me who wants NYC within an hour's drive.

FYI on their appearance at APW:

All Points West: Radiohead’s Only NYC Appearance

Posted on February 23rd, 2008.

The recently revealed double headline bill of Radiohead at All Points West (August 8 & 9), turns out to be Radiohead’s only appearance in the New York City area, Pitchfork reports.

All Points West, the East Coast version of Coachella, will have Radiohead headlining the first two nights: August 8 and August 9. Jack Johnson will headline the third night (August 10). Other acts slated to perform at Liberty State Park include Animal Collective, Cat Power, the New Pornographers, Girl Talk, the Roots, Underworld, the Go! Team, Metric, CSS, Andrew Bird, Black Kids, Chromeo, Amadou & Mariam, Rogue Wave and Mates of State

Pitchfork spoke to festival organizer Paul Tollett of Goldenvoice, who said All Points West is not Coachella East: “It’s a lot smaller.” Tollett estimates that the festival’s capacity will be “about half” of that of American behemoths like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza, meaning that they will cap attendance at around 30 or 40 thousand people. There will only be three stages and about 40 bands, as opposed to the 100+ that swarm Coachella. This will allow bands to play longer sets than usual.

so the folks in the nyc area might want to get tickets to this being it's their only nyc performance...

FITZ IS GOING TO NEW YORK (for the first time ever) TO SEE RADIOHEAD AND UNDERWORLD!!

WOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO!!!!!!

:combust: :combust:

Are you excited?

That's awesome. I wish I could see Radiohead in my old home city but I just can't do the festival thing. Congratulations, though!

I'm SO EXCITED!! You don't even know!!

My only problem is (the reason I'm able to go) I have free airfare, but it's only on Southwest, and Southwest only flies into ISP in Long Island.

So flying in Thursday night, I don't know (since I've never been anywhere east of Colorado) how the hell I'm going to get from ISP in Long Island to our hotel in Jersey City. And since my flight gets in @ 7:30 p.m., I'm stressing (already) a little about being in a completely foreign place and trying to find my way about at night. :yikes:

How much would a cab from Long Island to Jersey City be? (I know nothing about cabs, we don't use them here in Southern California.)

Don't freak out. When I moved to NYC I was 22 years old and arrived alone at the Port Authority at midnight (which at the time was a much more horrible neighborhood than it is now) and hailed my first taxi and never had any problems for 15 years.

But I'm a little out of touch with ground transportation in Long Island. Check out the airport info page and make some phone calls I guess.

Or Headache might be able to assit you better.

But I'm guessing a taxi will cost you approximately two arms and one leg. Check out the buses and trains.

Yeah, it's the latter.

Actually, I wouldn't be flying across the country if it wasn't both Radiohead AND Underworld. That's just a combo I couldn't pass up.

Otherwise, I would've just waited for the Radiohead dates here in So.Cal.

Plus, well, I've never been to New Jersey or New York, so . . . something new and exciting for me. :D

I was just wondering to myself earlier where you were. I haven't seen you post in this thread in a while, so I figured you must've died or something.

Are you going to All Points West?

I haven't died

and I don't know if I'll be able to go

but I want to

Yeah....Joyful nailed it: two arms and a leg. You would be better off hiring a car than getting a taxi. Either way, it may be as much as airfare.

This is going to be quite the hike. Newark is not that far from Jersey City, so you are looking at 65 miles.

I went to my first year of college in Jersey City. If you use public transportation, you would have to take the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) from Islip to NYC (Penn Station). From Penn Station, you could take the PATH train to Jersey City. You are looking at quite the journey.

looks like saturday single day tix are gone on ticketbastard.. Friday is still coming up and the crazy expensive 3 day pass tix are available too.. Imagine that..
