R.I.P. Tony Thompson

tony thompson, of chic and power station fame, passed away. i'm not sure how he died, and can't find a link about it, except for one on duran duran's site.

man, this really sucks. he was a great drummer. his sound was so identifiable, from chic to dd to david bowie. what a loss.

What a shame.
RIP

I thought Phil Collins drummed with Zep at Live Aid. He did the trans-Atlantic flight to play at both Philly and London.

Methinks my memory is correct...perhaps Thompson played at the Atlantic Recoirds Anniversary party with Zep

there were 2 drummers with zep at live aid: phil collins and tony thompson; they both played simultaneously.

jason bonham played drums at the atlantic records reunion.
