Last round, Wolves, Lower was eliminated, and Gardening At Night was sent through to the final draw.

Votes:

Wolves, Lower - 8
Gardening At Night - 3

Final Draw:

Gardening At Night

Now we move on to the proper LPs. Murmur came in fifth on the favorite R.E.M. album poll, so four of its songs will proceed to the final draw.

Yay!

West of the Fields is my least favorite on this album. 9-9 isn't far behind. It'll get slightly harder after that.

1. Pilgrimage
2. Sitting Still
3. Catapult
4. Radio Free Europe
5. Perfect Circle
6. Talk About The Passion
7. Laughing
8. Shaking Through
9. Moral Kiosk
10. West of The Fields
11. We Walk
12. 9-9

I'll go with 9-9 here. The four I want to survive this album are Sitting Still, Perfect Circle, Radio Free Europe, and Talk About the Passion. I think.

I really like We Walk - I love when REM shows their more playful side. It's a silly little song, but I dig it.

I know it's getting voted out early, though.

I think I have them lined up this way, although it's definitely subject to change:

1. Pilgrimage
2. Sitting Still
3. Radio Free Europe
4. Talk About the Passion
5. Moral Kiosk
6. Perfect Circle
7. We Walk
8. Laughing
9. Catapult
10. Shaking Through
11. 9-9
12. West of the Fields

Sitting Still was my favorite off the album for ages until I heard them do Pilgrimage live in 1999.

I love when it picks up toward the end after the last chorus.

Pilgrimage ... has gained momentum!
Take a turn (take a turn)!
Take a fortune!

I guess I'll try to rank 'em, just so I can be as cool as you guys.

1. Sitting Still
2. Perfect Circle
3. Radio Free Europe
4. Talk About The Passion
5. We Walk
6. Catapult
7. Pilgrimage
8. Moral Kiosk
9. West of the Fields
10. Shaking Through
11. Laughing
12. 9-9

That looks good for now. Close enough, anyway.

I think Sitting Still, Radio Free Europe, and Perfect Circle are locks to go through, but that fourth slot is a bit of a mystery. I'd like to see it come down to Pilgrimage and Talk About The Passion.

Sitting Still is in my Top 5 R.E.M. songs, and I will NEVER betray that loyalty to Pilgrimage.

West of the Fields and 9-9 are pretty much crap, a double-elimination here would be nice.

I'm torn between Shaking Through and West of the Fields.

Voted West to save 9-9.

9-9 is really cool.

I love 9-9, so West Of The Fields is the weakest for me.

What a cracking album. Pilgrimage has to win, that song is in a league of it's own, in a time of it's own, but some of these others songs are mint (Moral KiosK, Radio Free Europe, Perfect Circle, We Walk)

I don't know R.E.M.'s early catalog well besides the hits, so I'm using these early rounds as an opportunity to check these albums out on Rhapsody. So far, I'm just getting to know the songs -- nothing too striking yet (I did find that I liked 9-9 a lot, only to be surprised that it's relatively unpopular here). But I'll be patient with it and let these new songs grow on me. Maybe I'll start voting later on in the album.

Catapult's pretty cool.
