This is pretty interesting!

Question... For example, should somone like Mark Cuban include himself in we/us then?

yes... in fact, he should refer to the team as "mine"

i have no problem with anyone involved in the day to day operations of the team using the "we/us" when refering to the team... coaches, managers, trainers, gm's, managers, etc.

fans who think they're part of the team is very robert deniroish.

Absolutely, and like Headache said, "mine" is even in order.

Cubes can do whatever the hell he wants. Except Benefactor 2. Let's not do that.

During the Mavs game yesterday, my roommate was we-ing up a storm and I came to a conclusion that can easily be summed up in the following analogy.

Calling the Mavericks "we" is like calling Dirk Nowitzki "I".
