This should probably be in FYM.

Anyway to answer the question it is not a big issue in MOST of Europe, but it does generate periodic and sometimes divisive debate in Ireland.

this definitely belongs in fym

anyway....there's been a bit of debate over here in England recently as there are moves afoot to change th limit for terminations to 22 weeks from 24 weeks.

also a lady went to court to argue that if her underage teenage daughter were to go for a termination, she has a right to be told (at present they don't have to tell her parents). I don't know what the outcome was, or if there has even been a ruling yet.

there's no big movement to have terminations made illegal or anything here.

Not here in Finland it doesn't. Infact as far as I know, the abortion rate here is one of the lowest in Europe namely because of the Finlands very thorough sexual education in schools.
Information is power!:)

In Portugal it happens sometimes... But people talk about it, specially when it comes to elections and some politics aprove and others don't.
But last year that when that boat from Holland passed here there was a lot of talk about the subject....
