Queen / Paul Rodgers

They are scheduled to play 2 nights so far in the U.S. - One night on each coast... Just thought I'd pass this along for anyone interested. I was fortunate enough to see Queen in the early 80s ('The Game' tour) with Freddie (R.I.P.)

it won't be the same, but it still might be interesting. I never got to see Paul Rodgers by himself or with any of his bands (Bad Co., Free, The Firm,...). So we'll have to see how much tickets are going for, and if there's a chance in hell to get them via Ticketmaster this weekend...

I saw Queen 3 times in concert...would have been late 70's and early 80's.

I love this band

I saw Queen three times as well. Paul Rodgers, no matter what, will not be able to replace Freddie. No matter what.

fair enough. I agree... but I'd still consider going to hear the music and taking my 11 year old daughter ...

As far as I'm concerned, it's not even a Queen concert. No Freddie, no Queen.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Bassist John Deacon isn't even in the "group" anymore, either. So it is basically a Brian May + Paul Rodgers show, with Roger Taylor doing some drums and calling it Queen....

Freddy was one of the greatest frontman ever to grace this planet. Top 5 along with Mick, Jim, Bono you can pick anyone else for the number 5 slot
