But I can wait on hold for an hour to get a window seat.
I'm glad that we don't seem to have to jump through those hoops on any of our domestic airlines. But i'm sure they'll start soon.

Co-incidentally, here's me in -8 celcius.

I'd just found out how much colder it was going to get. Plus posing for photos is ghey.

I don't think I'd seen photos of Jen or Ian before. Does this mean I have to post one of me now?

I love how you still don't have to go through security on domestic flights in New Zealand. It's fucking awesome, still meeting people at the gate without hassle and all that.

edit: Ah fuck, the links for them screwed up. Here's an old photo of my cats to compensate. They look exactly the same now.

Yes.

I hadn't seen a picture of Ian's face before, but he once posted a photo featuring his legs to illustrate the legroom in a plane!

And I've obviously met Jen. There are a couple of photos of Jen on here that I know of, both featuring me as well - including the "ONE: Axver loves it" poster that Ali made.

Well this is international.

Fuckers didn't have ANY windows, and the non-center seat choices were the aisle of a 4-block or the aisle of a 2-block further back (so next to a window). I was going to take the 2-block, fewer people to deal with, but then he said it was in the row immediately in front of unaccompanied minors. Why he didn't tell me that in the first place I dunno. But I'll be miserable on a redeye without a window; hopefully I can get to the airport early and switch seats.

I don't think I've ever seen a photo of you. I thought you'd look younger.

That is just absurd. Though i do remember the days when you could walk up to the gate in the US when I was little. You still had to go through security; they screened everyone and not just ticketed passengers.

Only have to go through security on domestic jet flights. I love the simplicity of walking into the airport, through some usually pleasant security, onto the plane....short flight and stroll right out of the airport.

I still wanna set you up with my friend. She's working in DC for the foreseeable future.

Absurd? I think it's awesome. No need to make security for non-existent threats.
