I'm surprisingly sensitive to certain things. Odd moments during songs or films, or even things I observe move me and I'll well up. We're not talking major flow of tears here, but, I definitely am more prone to it than one would think.

I'll also fight someone, so, there's that. :)

there are some things that really get to me more than they should, on tv or movies, when i watch alone. like something is a little sad or touching and i'll well up, or somehting is really sad and i have a little cry.

I haven't read back that far, but I think we are talking about things that make us emotional. I well up at movies quite a bit (at silly things too) and I really get teary when people talk about their life.

I've always been sucked in by an honest story.

It's odd how that, yeah, such things usually occur when I'm alone...it's like some defense mechanism kicks in in the company of others disallowing me from showing that sort of emotion unless it's such an obviously sad situation.

Major injuries suck. What happened exactly, if you don't mind me asking of course?

don't really wanna talk about it on an internet forum. it was a hybrid between an accident and an untargeted attack, that's all.

there's no way i'm doing this in front of other people. maybe a little bit teary but i hold back.

except the west wing finale. i watched that with my parents and kind of bawled.

I'm going to cry when the Wire ends later tonight.

How about fictional stories that aren't particularly engrossing but cause you to grow as a human being?

That is, does porn make you cry?

NSW & Pfan, what do you think about a temple bar NCAA tourny bracket contest? Yes'm?

Not sure it can work. A number of people won't do it, for a myriad of reasons.

And a few people might do it who shouldn't be involved. :coughs:

I suprisingly didn't cry at the recent developments. Also not sure when I can watch this ep, because the campus network is down and I got a warning from HBO last time I downloaded the wire so I was leaving it to others to do. We have cable here but not hbo as far as I know.

On the topic of emotions, I rarely show emotions other than love and compassion. I rarely let on sadness. My main interest in life is to make sure the people I care about are happy. You can't do that when you yourself are sad or mad or whatever. I accepted long ago that I have to be there for others when others won't be there for me. Crying or welling up is something I just can't do for the sake of others.

There was one scene in the last episode that made me cry. I'll not spoil anything for you from the last ep....counting down the hours. :)
