Nor am I. Maybe I should play the album and see if it's any less shit than I remember it as being.

Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

People keep saying they miss it and it's been over a year since I intended to withdraw U2 NZ, so I figured it was about time to finally get off my arse and make the change. I prefer this avatar anyway. So why the hell did I take so long to revert back to it? Who knows ....

Lyrically it is fantastic! It's been said so many times before I know, but it really is more of a Roger Waters solo record. Each track flows beautifully into the next (even Paranoid Eyes I guess!)
The Gunner's Dream and The Final Cut are the standout tracks for me. Southampton Dock and Fletcher Memorial are excellent too.

Give it a listen again Axver and MsMofo - and see if you feel any different.

The lyrics...the lyrics
