Oh, I forgot to vote in the last round, and I even listened to the three songs to decide. I was going to vote for The Gunner's Dream. Same here.

But geez, if this is the best The Final Cut has to offer, that is truly sad. Both of these songs are completely forgettable. Frankly, I'd prefer to listen to garbage like One or Ultra Violet.

 Just listened to them both, and I have to agree. Completey dull. If this is a nod to Water's solo work, it's a path I may not tread.

I vote for The Gunner's Dream, as at least The Final Cut has an alright solo.

Gotta be Gunner's Dream for me. The title track is outstanding.

I haven't heard that. After sitting through Radio KAOS, I wouldn't want to touch any more of his solo stuff.

That album is an embarrassment to humanity, much like AMLOR. :tsk:

Yeah, 1987 won't exactly go down as a great year in Pink Floyd related history, although AMLOR and the tour that followed were a huge commercial success. Radio Waves was DOA.

I'm not a huge fan of Waters' solo material either, but Amused To Death is very good. Aardvark already mentioned Perfect Sense, which is his best post-Floyd song by far.

And, of course, The Division Bell is miles ahead of AMLOR. And I don't care what anyone says, I like it more than The Final Cut as well.

After much anguish, I voted for The Gunner's Dream. These two songs are in my Floyd top 10. I can't bear to see either one of them go.

Blargh, back to my boring annotated bibliography. A word to the wise: never decide to do a research paper on Chaucer's use of Boccaccio in Troilus and Criseyde. NEVER.

It's got the scream -> sax combo you and I both love so much.

The Final Cut is a lyrical masterpiece. Seldom have I been so emotionally moved by a single song. Although The Gunner's Dream is majestic as well, I must vote for The Final Cut to win.
