Have bought a bunch of stuff from these lists, and have listened, a few times, to the following 3 artists 2007 releases:

Explosions in the Sky -

Alcest -

LCD Soundsystem -

Okkervil River up next, as soon as I stop listening to Sound of Silver. Then The National.

Neon Bible remains my own personal favorite for 2007. In Rainbows is up there too, as well as Magic.

Lupe Fiasco's The Cool is a truly great album BTW. I may like it more than Kanye's.

I can't understand the appeal of M.I.A. Her music just sounds like a bunch of noise to me, and her flow is mediocre.

It's honestly one of the most solid rap/hip hop albums I've heard in.....maybe ever. Too bad it came out so late in the year, and thus probably wont be included on many lists this year or next.

I like some things on the latest album, others not as much (hence it wasn't in my Top 20 of the year), but Paper Planes is incredible.

I've heard it used about 4,000 times, but since I wasn't there when it first started, I have no idea what it means.
