Peter Bjorn and motherfuckin' John

These guys are brilliant. Yeah, yeah, Young Folks was a cutesy one-off single, but these guys have a back catalogue of heartbreaking, poppy, 60s-influenced melodic rock. It's like Elvis Costello meets The Beach Boys.

Have a look at Falling Out, their second record. There is not a bad song on the record. Not a single one. Tailormade is one of my favs at the moment, with harmonica and string outro it really tugs at the heartstrings, folks.

Going to see them later this month, and I though more people need to listen to these guys.

Songs to check out:
Teen Love
Tailormade
Money
Far Away, By My Side
It Beats Me Evey Time
Big Black Coffin
Young Folks
Start To Melt
Paris 2004
The Chills

Their cover of The Concretes' Teen Love is my favorite from that album. It Beats Me Everytime and Big Black Coffin are also nice, the later being extremly enjoyable live.

I find Writer's Block better personally than Falling Out, and I don't care much for their self-titled debut. I'm actually surprised this forum wasn't crapping themselves left and right over Writer's Block this last year or so, as it seems right up most people here's alleys.

I also recommend their buddies, The Shout Out Louds (Bjorn produces some of their stuff). Swedish pop is good times.

Is that a new album by them, or was Writer's Block after that?

I enjoyed Writer's Block, but haven't looked into them much otherwise.

Ridiculously awesome live.

Young Folks was an immesensly enjoyable tune, but all of a sudden one day, I lost any appreciation for it....dunno why. Must lack depth or somethin'...

Check out some other songs from them - they have a great knack for pop hooks.

I am going to enjoy them immensely when I see them on the 21st....haven't been this pumped for a concert in a while. A lot of their songs are great to dance to, woohoo, gonna be a blast.

Holy shit these guys are GREAT!!!! Thanks for the recommendation! PB&J is a little more Elvis Costello, and the Shout out Louds are a little more ABBA, it seems.

Sweden rocks!

I can't recommend I Don't Know What I Want Us to Do from the first, self-titled album, enough. Fucking awesome rocker!
