when I won tickets for a U2 concert in miami, in a radio station... and obviously when I went to the concert . I had to trip completely alone from bogotŠ, and stay alone in the hotel, so I felt like a big girl for the first time.

I think that little trip was the beginning of a new stage for me...

My phone calls from Ryan Adams were amazing.

There have been many perfect moments in my life, but that was the first to pop into my head, so I will limit it to that one.

My perfect moment was going to see U2 at Slane.
Another one was going to see my Great grandmother in Drogheda on our way to Kerry and my Dad taking us to the beach and building sandcastles. That's one of my most vivd memories.

Sitting on my own on One Tree Hill watching the sun set with The Joshua Tree on my walkman, thinking about my life - what I had been doing, what I wanted to do, where I had been and where I was going

That was pretty good

I think I have lots of them, where everything is in its right place.

I had one today while I was out walking. I was listening to Yuki Song by Deep Forest. Walking under all the huge trees, scattered sunlight and a breeze, a breathtakingly beautiful song.

Doesn't sound all that impressive, but I was feeling it. I'm always on the look out for perfect moments.

Everytime I wake up next to my fiance.

Unless I really have to pee and he keeps cuddling me and it puts pressure on my bladder.

right after leaving the pit during the pug uglies' set at the dropkick murphys show back in march. i'd been at the show maybe 6 minutes and i was already starting to worry about whether my mom and brother would enjoy the show or get freaked out and somehow pull me out of the crowd and go straight home before gang green even took the stage. had they remembered the ear plugs or left them in the car? i shouldn't have dragged them out to boston, i should have found another way to get to the show. and how were we going to get home (half the streets we'd been down in the city were one-way)? we got lost enough on the way there...i'd heard all sorts of stories about FSU and other crews beating on kids because they didn't like the way they danced, or equally stupid shit, and coming from out of town (despite the fact that most people at dkm's st. patty's week shows seem to be coming from out of town) i was nervous about that stuff.

after no more than 2 minutes of smashing into people, running around in a circle pushing each other, i can't tell you how much better i felt after getting a few elbows to the face and kicking a couple heads.

i can think of a lot of others (including some other moments at that same show), but that's a more recent one.

Going to the Lovetown shows 3 nights in a row. I couldnt sleep for days afterwards.

And walking around a cemetary on a high school excursion. I had my walkman on and Human Leagues "I Am the Law" came on and the song seemed to perfectly match my mood and the atmosphere of the cemetary. Everything was in synch.

And ditto the sleeping man/peeing comment from Meggie.

Having Larry sit at the edge of the stage at the United Center, reach over the guy in front of me (who was trying to get my stick) and getting my drumstick, then watching him give the other one to April. Then I put the damn thing in my mouth, turned around, held my sign up for everyone in the heart to see, and having them all cheer for us!
