I did catch some of your recent listening experiences there.

Murmur is my favorite R.E.M. album, by the way.

I think I rank it just slightly above Reckoning. Reckoning had slightly stronger songs at the beginning, but Murmur was more consistent in quality.

By the end of this week, I want to have listened to:

Fables of the Reconstruction
Lifes Rich Pageant
Kid A
The Bends

And maybe something by another artist.

god. my mom was giving me a hard time (rightly so) about me always watching the same channel. if i paid per channel, it'd be cheaper for me to do that unless it was $20 per channel. i seriously only watch three channels, one of those channels is on 99% of the time. how pathetic :reject:

shit, i'm so sorry to hear that. is he doing okay now?

Phanan, sorry about your stepfather. Is he ok??????

Yeah, he's ok now. He was in for a procedure with his prostate, as he has cancer there. The procedure is a seed implementation that fights off the cancer, but at one point immediately after, his blood pressure got way too low, and he started acting incoherently. I wasn't there at the time, but my mother noticed the problem right away and called for the doctor. Luckily, he recovered ok. But what caused the problem is troubling.

Last year, and I posted this in my journal at the time, it was discovered he had lung cancer (which is not surprising as he smoked for years), so he had to have surgery on that, but when they did some tests beforehand, they found that his coronary arteries were almost all blocked. So first, he had to have quadruple bypass surgery. Then a month later, he had surgery to remove the cancer in his lung.

Well, long story short, he then got cancer in the prostate, which led to this procedure on Thursday. Then the TIA happened, and they found a problem with a blood artery in his brain. The cause? A foreign substance, determined to be something METAL. The line of thinking is it must be a tiny piece that got caught in the blood stream from one of those surgeries last year. Can you fucking believe that shit?

So now he has to go to a specialist. Apparently there are like four people in the entire country that know how to deal with this. Luckily, one is located just north of Boston. They are scheduling an appointment with him tomorrow.

Unreal.

There are too many jokes here, so I'll just eschew that route and ask which channel.
