Sorry for the delay, I was reading something.

I'm so tired for two reasons. One, I didn't get enough sleep last night and it's really late.

Two, my boyfriend was here

YES. I always, ALWAYS take off my headphones when I use the bus (it's not necessary for the tram or train now that conductors and guards don't exist). Or at the supermarket, I see a lot of people cruise through with their headphones on and don't even seem to think to turn it off. Personally? I'll always take off my headphones when at the deli or the check-out or at any other time when I need to interact with staff. Usually I just take them off when I get to the deli and don't put them back on until I'm walking back to the tram. Sure, the music in Coles is pretty shit and their ads even worse, but I can put up with that for 5 minutes rather than fiddling around to put my headphones back on multiple times.

Generally, i'll only be using headphones when i'm sitting at the back of the bus and i can see if i'm going to have to talk to people.

In the street or whatever, i don't bother in case someone tries to attract my attention......or if i need to get the fuck out of the way of an out of control truck.

Generally, i'll only be using headphones when i'm sitting at the back of the bus and i can see if i'm going to have to talk to people.

I tend to wear my headphones in the street if I know the area well - which mainly just means around campus at uni or the quiet streets between my place and the tram stop. Often, it's based on how well I can see; if I'm blinded and need to rely on my cane, I'll take out my headphones as I need my hearing. If it's an overcast day, I'm not so concerned as I can usually see pretty well if the sun's obscured.
