European dates announced to the fan club...

Hi Friends!

Pearl Jam is back on the road again ... Come June 2007, Pearl Jam will
return to the old country for another European tour of both festival and
exclusive show dates.

The Ten Club would like to offer members the opportunity to purchase
tickets directly from the fan club, for exclusive Pearl Jam shows only.
Ticket information for festival dates will be posted in the coming weeks.

You must be an active member as of January 24, 2007 to qualify for fan
club tickets. The ticket opportunity is for two (2) general admission
tickets per show. No single tickets will be sold. You will receive 2
wristbands with your tickets, which will allow early entry into the venue
15 minutes before doors open to the public.*

*At Wembley Arena in London, early entry will not be allowed. Therefore,
Ten Club has reserved the entire floor for fan club only!!! Any tickets
not sold during the fan club pre-sale must be released for public sale ...
So buy buy buy!!!

Ten Club tickets can be purchased online at http://www.tenclub.net/goods/
with a Visa or Mastercard only. Ticket prices will vary. Tickets are
available while supplies last.

Please pay close attention to Ten Club ticket on-sale times listed below.
ALL Ten Club ticket sales will end on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 5pm

I hear Lollapalooza will be their only U.S. date as a full band this summer. I just applied for a one-year teaching position about half an hour outside of Chicago, and the first thing I thought was that if I got it, I could move in time to go to Lollapalooza

The email to the fan club said:

Hey Jammers.

The rumors are true! Pearl Jam will headline this year's Lollapalooza in
Chicago on Sunday, August 5th.

This is the band's only scheduled U.S. date for 2007.

So the eternal optomists say that means they just haven't scheduled any other US shows yet, the realists say thats likely it, especially after an interview Mike McCready gave recently about how much effort went into the tour last year.
Plus Mike and Stone both have children due soon or possibly recently arrived, so I think Lolla may be it, unless one or two benefit type shows pop up.

I think it is amazing that PJ is able to pull the BEST seats for its fans for its shows. I am a fairly new 10c member (since 04) and I got really good seats for shows. They weren't front row or even floors, but they were 4th row first section stands by the stage. Excellent views. And, I was sitting with other 10c fans, not corporate, arena season pass ticket holders.

If it were U2, I'd would have been sitting in the nosebleeds.

My fan presale tickets for U2 were much better than mine for PJ.

While I did get a pair of GA's for U2 through presale, there is little comparison. U2 was a presale through Ticketmaster, luck of the draw on your seats.
Pearl Jam holds the best seats for their fan club and prioritzes your seating by seniority (and uses will call)...keeping scalpers largely out of the mix, (something u2.com failed at miserably).

Plus U2 allows you a pair of seats for the tour (4 for the screwed Prop members last time) whereas PJ allows you to buy a pair for as many shows as you like.

I STILL have not seen Pearl Jam live except for Lollapalooza 1992 (but that was for Ten, which is one of my least favorite PJ albums). But never where they're headlining their own show. Something always happens right when they come to town and I never get to go, and then I get to read on here about how amazing they are in concert.
