:hyper:  I absolutely love this movie! It's got to be the best ever made, IMO. I can't wait to go out and get it. I was always hoping for a new release. I was disappointed by the lack of bonus features on the original one.

LOL, the 'Definative Edition' - also including an alternate ending where Jesus escapes and lives on to battle the Nazis in Tunisia!

Of course there's a Definitive Edition being released. It's the last move to milk the Christ out of this movie for his personal gain.

What more can there be?! :hyper:

The Passion of The Christ
The Passion of The Christ DVD
The Passion of The Christ Redux Re-release
The Passion of The Christ Definitive Edition
Passion O'Christ Bobbleheads Dolls (The Satan doll is on sale, half off!)
Passion O'Christ Cereal (start your day off the holy way!)
...

yay! more insane violence that's not even historically accurate!

long live Gibson the Sadist! (and anti-Semite)

(for the life of me, i cannot find anything spiritually exalting about a 2.5 hour torture-and-snuff film that puts the Medieval back in Christianity. i hope children are protected from this film.)

that's a must buy , terrific movie , Gibson is not an anti-semite , he likes to drink sometimes , so what , he made some great movies

God, I watched that film once and vowed to never watch it again.
My mom bought it and wants us to watch it every Good Friday.

I can't think of a further way to separate myself from God than watching Angel Eyes star Jim Caviezel play Jesus in the best example of pornography of violence...ever!

Brain. Can't. Compute. Too. Many. Errors.

Nazis, hate those guys.

I thought it would set up the sequel: Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This.

Well actually if you read one is the origianl version the other is the re-edited version (less violence) has commentaires.

You're right, it's not historically accurate. It's not bloody enough.

Well, that's just silly.

Everyone knows the only movie to watch every Good Friday is the original Jesus Christ Superstar!

Hippies in the desert! Wailing-rawk-star-junkie-looking-Jesus!

I can't stand this film for two reasons.

1. It did nothing but capitalize on and push people even further away from Christianity.

2. From the standpoint of a mild movie buff, it's just a terrible film.:down:

I like this film. Better than Last Temptation and Jesus Christ Superstar.

sorry bad word , i edited my post ,
you give no good reasons , just bad blah blah boo

I've given my review over and over in FYM, didn't feel like elaborating.

But it's far too violent, inaccurate, and honestly had poor focus.

What's your take on Martin Scorcesses The Last Temptation of Christ?

Never saw the whole movie, saw part on Bravo and never finished it, it's on my list. But it never claimed to be true.

Would you consider any other jesus film better than passion? (King of Kings) Jesus of Nazareth etc..?
