So here we are in lovely Northern Wisconsin at a cabin on a lake for a weekend of fun and relaxation, and what are we doing? Surfing interference! Who is we? Ah yes, that would be myself, Ali Rose, Lemon Meringue and her husband and their dog. So far, we have blasted U2 bootlegs as we ate supper, drank mixed drinks like fishes, and sampled different CDs (at the moment it's Travis...earlier, I was introducing Ali to sigur ros )

We think it might be nice and pretty outside but it's all dark and heck, we are having fun and getting our blue screened fix (junkies!).

So what is everyone up to this weekend?

I used to have a yellow lab, but she died, and then I had a chocolate lab, he died...

now I have a cat and fish, I like labs and had good dogs but I had no luck with them, they died at young ages due to "typical breed complications," next time I get a dog it will be a Boxer

bodie has a "typical breed complication" but he's a survivor, out to protect a cabin full of lazy, lazy people.

so what's he do? nibble your bum? I really hope he doesnt have the hip displacement, that got the chocolate lab (well, made him sick, then he had liver problems), and also my friend has a lab who has the hip problem, it's really so sad because this breed of dog is really sweet and lovable and they many suffer terribly from these ailments, and if the owner cant afford to get the procedures done... and even if the owner can afford it doesnt always work...

My brother and I had a black lab when we were kids. Such a sweet loveable dog. We named him Shadow cuz he'd always follow us around. I miss Shadow. Now I'm sad.
