Out of the Vein

OK, I know there are a ton of people here at Interland who jump at every opportunity to slag Third Eye Blind, but is there anyone out there who loves this new album as much as I do? There must be some 3EB fans willing to take the plunge!

Out of the Vein is, IMO a perfect summer album. Songs about heartbreak, new loves, the beach, the waves, concerts, friends, fucking around and getting drunk. Oh yeah, & motorcycle crashes too! Something for everyone. Great songwriting, great production, and the band is exceptionally tight even with the absence of former guitarist Kevin Cadogan.

Stephan Jenkins really has a killer knack for writing hooky songs that get better with repeated spins. I'd have to say this album is on par with their debut.

Ok, I'm ready for my closeup Mr. DeMille. Flame on.

I like Blinded... I think the new guitarist has accorded himself well from what I've heard on the record...

I'm thinking of picking up that album next including the new Liz Phair... Blue, to me is the best album they've put out IMO... but would be happy if Vein surpassed it...
